The Just Go with It cast is full of A-list movie stars like Adam Sandler and Nicole Kidman and acclaimed comedy talents like Kevin Nealon and Rachel Dratch. A remake of the classic 1969 farce Cactus Flower, Just Go with It reimagines the tale of lies and deception as a feel-good romantic comedy. A cosmetic surgeon recruits his office manager and her kids to pose as his family to woo his latest love interest. In line with rom-com traditions, true love is right in front of the main character as he falls for his fake wife.
Just Go with It was one of Adam Sandlers biggest hits at the box office, grossing roughly $215 million worldwide (via Box Office Mojo). This story of a fake marriage turning into a real marriage also marked the first on-screen pairing of Sandler and Jennifer Aniston. Just Go with It's soundtrack features the perfect mix of songs to usher the story toward every step of the way. The romantic comedy stars Adam Sandler as a plastic surgeon whose big move is to pretend he is married so he can hook up with women without ever having to call them again. However, when he thinks he has found a girl he would want to marry for real, he needs his work assistant (Jennifer Aniston) to pretend to be his soon-to-be ex-wife. Of course, this leads to an even more outrageous series of events and an unlikely love story.
Just Go with It was initially released back in 2011, but it has arrived to streaming on Netflix in 2024. Directed by Dennis Dugan, the Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston movie stars Brooklyn Decker, Bailee Madison, Nicole Kidman, Griffin Gluck, and more. Just Go with It also features a soundtrack...

With combined star power and charming chemistry, Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston's collaborative movies have proven they are a wonderful cinematic pairing. Sandler and Aniston made big splashes in the '90s, and their careers continued to pick up steam in the following decades until they became Hollywood giants. Sandler's antics made him a comedy legend, while Aniston's more understated turns make her the perfect foil for any goofball co-star. Though it took years for the duo to finally appear together, the pairing immediately proved to be a perfect match, leading to a follow-up that reunited them again.
Starting in 2011 with Just Go with It, Sandler and Aniston's chemistry on screen was immediately apparent, and their individual styles managed to elevate each other's performances. The key to the success of the Sandler/Aniston films has been her ability to go along with his over-the-top comedy without ever being overshadowed.

Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin star Chandler Kinney reacts to the show's cancellation. Hailing from Riverdale creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Lindsay Calhoon-Bring, the fourth outing in the Pretty Little Liars franchise debuted in July 2022. The story took on a slasher movie focus, paying homage to classics of the subgenre with a masked killer that stalked a new group of characters. Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin season 3 was officially cancelled by the Max streaming service on September 20, 2024.
In an interview with Et Online, Kinney was asked about the Pretty Little Liars reboot cancellation. The actor, who played Tabby, gives a candid response. Not to be a hater here, but the fact that Pretty Little Liars on Max got canceled after two seasons is a good thing in my book. Per TVLine, the streaming service has chosen not to continue forward with a season 3. Which means this is the end of the road for this group of liars. And well, I've certainly had enough.
Look, overall Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin (season 1) and Pretty Little Liars: Summer School (season 2) did have their good moments. But for me, the bad outweighed the ones that stood out and actually made the show interesting. I liked how the first season incorporated the moms and that whole backstory. Losing that in season 2, the horror drama lost its intrigue and uniqueness for me. And just overall, the series just didn't have the same pizzazz as the original Pll.

Returning legacy characters in a spinoff like Summer School may not always land well, affecting the overall series.
Pretty Little Liars: Summer School re-introduced a franchise legacy character, but in doing so, the spinoff tarnished the individual forever. Summer School is the sequel to Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin and focused on a group of teenagers tormented by a new villain named Bloody Rose. While it was a solid next chapter after Original Sin's ending, bringing back a beloved character from the original series only to change their entire personality was a creative choice that didn't benefit the show in the long run.

Note: This story contains spoilers from the “Pretty Little Liars: Summer School” finale.
“Pretty Little Liars” brought out the Final Girl Energy for Thursday’s “Summer School” finale, finally unmasking Bloody Rose while introducing plenty of options for a potential Season 3.
The eight-episode second season featured numerous kills and niche scary movie references, with stars Chandler Kinney, Bailee Madison, Malia Pyles, Maia Reficco and Zaria — as well as honorary sixth Fge member Mallory Bechtel — each getting their own Final Girl moment. But in the Max show’s season finale, all eyes were on resident movie buff Tabby (Kinney) as she ultimately proved her horror film knowledge could help her survive.
The hour contained enough twists and turns to fill the Spooky Spaghetti homepage, but TheWrap has narrowed the episode down to the most iconic can’t-miss moments.

In 2022, Max resurrected the long running teen favorite “Pretty Little Liars” from the brains behind “Riverdale” and “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,” Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Lindsay Calhoon Bring as “Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin.” Based on the books by Sara Shepard, the original followed four teenage girls in Rosewood, Pennsylvania who begin getting threatening messages years after their friend Alison disappears signed only with the initial “A.” Running for seven seasons beginning in 2010, “Pretty Little Liars” became a pop culture hit.
“Original Sin” is the the fourth series in the franchise and still set in that world, but this time around follows five friends in Millwood, Pennsylvania who are being stalked by “A” because of their mother’s involvement in the death of a classmate, Angela Waters, in 1999. While this serves as the main storyline, the friends also deal with serious issues like rape and suicide, as well as typical high school drama.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the Pretty Little Liars: Summer School’s Season 2 finale, “Final Exam.”] Max’s Pretty Little Liars reboot just closed the book on Season 2, and Chapter 18 left us with a lesson in not messin’ with Chandler Kinney‘s Tabby. And how to do horror sequels right. After seven episodes of being stalked by Bloody Rose Waters—the gruesomely masked woman revealed to be the mother of Tabby and Imogen’s (Bailee Madison) murdered rapist, Chip Langsberry—the story took a major twist in the season finale as we learned that Tabby’s former movie-theater boss Wes (Derek Klena) was also in on the bloodbath: He was filming it all for his “untitled Millwood Massacre” feature and had riled up Spooky Spaghetti users online to lead “a reckoning” with the Liars. Max This all led to a showdown between Tabby, Wes, and Bloody Rose’s acolytes that was straight-up horror-movie ...

Co-creators are hopeful for a Pretty Little Liars season 3 renewal, aiming for a five-season run. Pretty Little Liars: Summer School hints at more horror and an old foe's return. The finale sets up future stories and pays homage to the original series, leaving room for more tales.
Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin co-creators give a candid response when discussing the chances of a season 3 renewal. Pencils down, everyone! After eight bloody episodes, Max’s Pretty Little Liars: Summer School wrapped up its sophomore season on Thursday with a killer finale. The teen drama slasher picks up directly after the events of Original Sin and follows Imogen (Bailee Madison), Tabby (Chandler Kinney), Faran (Zaria), Mouse (Malia Pyles), and Noa (Maia Reficco) as they’re tormented by a mysterious new villain, Bloody Rose.
The season finale, “Chapter Eight: Final Exam,” finally reveals Bloody Rose’s identity: Chip’s (Carson Rowland) mother, Mrs. Langsberry (Carey Van Driest). After Chip was murdered by “A” in the Season 1 finale, she became obsessed with getting revenge on Tabby and Imogen for “lying” about her son raping them. However, there’s a twist — Wes (Derek Klena), Tabby’s boss at the movie theater, has been her accomplice this whole time.

Spoiler alert: The following article contains spoilers from Pretty Little Liars: Summer School episodes 1 through 8.
"Pretty Little Liars: Summer School" offers a bright summer slasher vibe with familiar characters and a new villain. Returning characters face new challenges as they navigate summer school and encounter the mysterious "Bloody Rose." The Max show's soundtrack includes popular songs like "School's Out" by Alice Cooper and "Cruel Summer" by Bananarama.
Pretty Little Liars: Summer School is a stark contrast to Original Sin, with brighter tones, sunny vibes, and, of course, several pop hits that are perfect for summer break. The slasher and horror elements are still present (proven by the haunting instrumental additions to the show's score) as the five teenagers recover from their experience with "A," aka Archie Waters, and try to move on. However, a new villain named "Bloody Rose" throws a wrench into the characters' plans in Pretty Little Liars: Summer School.

Mrs. Langsberry is my pick to be Bloody Rose, given she has a motive for wanting the girls dead. Mrs. Beasley is likely a red herring as she would be too obvious and was accounted for during Bloody Rose's attack on Kelly. Wes, Christian, and Jen may be Bloody Rose's accomplices, assisting Mrs. Langsberry.
Only one episode remains in Pretty Little Liars: Summer School, and the finale will surely (and finally) uncover Bloody Rose's identity, either confirming or disproving my theory regarding who has been terrorizing the Liars and Millwood all season long. The Max slasher teen drama television series, created by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Lindsay Calhoon Bring, follows a group of five teenage girls who were brought together in the first season (Original Sin) to pay for their respective mothers' sins. Now, another villain is seemingly holding a grudge against Imogen, Tabby, Faran, Mouse, and Noa in Pretty Little Liars: Summer School.

The Strangers: Chapter 1 is projected to take in an opening weekend domestic gross of $12.3 million. This means that the movie has already earned its production budget back. The movie continues the franchise's tradition of low budget horror success despite negative reviews.
The Strangers: Chapter 1 has already hit an important box office milestone in its opening weekend. It is part reboot and part prequel to the original 2008 home invasion horror movie, which was followed by the 2018 standalone sequel Prey at Night. All three movies have earned Rotten scores on Rotten Tomatoes, though the new movie's is the worst, standing at 13% at the time of writing. Per Deadline, the Strangers: Chapter 1 box office is currently projected to earn a 3-day domestic box office opening weekend of $12.3 million.

Bailee Madison's final girl role in Pretty Little Liars is a reminder to revisit The Strangers: Prey at Night. The 2018 horror sequel provided her with her first opportunity to play a final girl. The underrated horror sequel combines slasher thrills and 1980s atmosphere.

Pretty Little Liars: Summer School offers bone-chilling horror and suspense. The Max series has terrifying villains inspired by classic horror films. Pretty Little Liars: Summer School couldn't be more different than the original Pretty Little Liars.
Higher quality horror shows are hard to come by, but Pretty Little Liars: Summer School is undoubtedly one of the better ones as it continuously builds upon its scare factor, suspense, and intriguing (and terrifying) villains. The Max slasher teen drama is a spinoff of the popular Freeform series and is set in the same universe (but one doesn't have to watch the original Pretty Little Liars to tune in to the spinoff). Pretty Little Liars: Summer School is now in session, but there’s one teacher you shouldn’t expect to see roaming the halls — Ezra Fitz.
