Bravo’s family said in reports that he was hospitalized Saturday while visiting family in Mexico City. The cause of death has not been determined, but allegedly involved a stomach ache and an emergency room visit.

The Anti-Defamation League’s Abraham Foxman may have let the parody slide, but felt that Handler allowed herself and her comic cohorts to take the gag too far. Last spring, ABC aired a new celebrity water competition called Splash. Was it a ratings success? Has it been cancelled or will it be back for a second season later this summer?

Based on a Dutch series, the Splash TV show pits celebrities against one another in a diving competition that includes backflips, somersaults, and high dives. Hosted by Joey Lawrence and Charissa Thompson, the celebrities are coached by Greg Louganis and judged by Steve Foley and David Boudia. Taking on the duties of Chelsea Handler, the 27-year-old actress will participate in the roundtable discussion, interview celeb guests, and pal around with lovable sidekick, Chuy Bravo.

In addition to her documentary series with Oprah's Own network, the "Mean Girls" star is making some other changes, including in her personal circle.

Xinhua News Agency reports 18-year-old Peng Jiaxuan, assistant to martial artist/contestant Shi Xiaolong on China’s Celebrity Splash China, drowned in a pool during a training session April 19. The show broadcast on China’s Zhejiang TV and ABC’s Splash are both spin-offs of the original Dutch format. The death happened a day after Us Splash contestant Nicole Eggert was injured on the set of ABC’s American version and subsequently hospitalized. In recent weeks fellow contestant Rory Bushfield ruptured an eardrum and Louie Anderson suffered bruised ribs in training, while show-related injuries forced Katherine Webb and Chuy Bravo to quit the show in its first month on the air.

It seemed only a matter of time before another mishap hit the reality diving competition show, "Splash."

On Thursday, Nicole Eggert was rushed to the hospital after reportedly attempting a high dive with multiple backflips.

According to TMZ, the "Charles in Charge" star crashed into the water back first and EMTs had to pull her out of the pool.

The incident comes after Chuy Bravo first left for an injury sustained during the show, followed by Kendra Wilkinson's quitting, Rory Bushfield's rupturing an ear drum, and Katherine Webb's departure just a few days ago.
