Springsteen, who will perform live at the event, will receive the inaugural Legacy Award, given to an artist whose body of work has inspired generations of storytellers and deeply influenced culture. Yang will receive the Vantage Award, given to an emerging artist helping to challenge existing, entrenched narratives around film.

Tom Brady, 47, and Sofia Vergara, 53, have been spotted together in Ibiza, Spain, sparking “summer romance” rumors.

The reports started a week ago when Brady and Vergara boarded the Luminara Superyacht among many other A-Listers including Martha Stewart, Naomi Campbell, Kendall Jenner, Kate Hudson and Colman Domingo for a two-night luxury voyage. The 50th Toronto International Film Festival has set its first five World Premiere Special Presentation titles in the Official Selection: Alejandro Amenábar’s The Captive, Steven Soderbergh’s The Christophers, Sung-hyun Byun’s Good News, Nia DaCosta’s Hedda, and Chandler Levack’s Mile End Kicks.

The festival runs from Sept. 4-14, presented by Rogers.

TIFF organizers announced on Thursday the first five titles of its official selection, all of which are set to world premiere in Canada. Steven Soderbergh’s dark comedy The Christophers and The Marvels director Nia DaCosta’s latest film, Hedda, are set for world premieres at the Toronto Film Festival in September, organizers said on Thursday.

Ian McKellen, Jessica Gunning, Michaela Coel and James Corden star in Soderbergh’s movie about the estranged children of a famous artist who hire a forger to finish their father’s unfinished paintings so they can be sold after his death.

Soderbergh directed The Christophers based on a script by Now You See Me scribe Ed Solomon. The creative duo collaborated on earlier projects like No Sudden Move, Full Circle and Mosaic.

Also getting a first look in Toronto is DaCosta’s Hedda, a reimagining of the Henrik Ibsen stage play Hedda Gabler that stars Tessa Thompson, Nina Hoss and Imogen Poots. Thompson will play Hedda Gabler, considered one of the greatest dramatic roles in theater history.

People are protesting all across the country, including in major cities like Los Angeles and New York City, against President Donald Trump and his policies, just hours ahead of his military parade for the U.S. Army’s 250th Anniversary in Washington on Saturday, which is also Trump’s birthday.

Icelandic composer Hildur Gudnadóttir will receive the career achievement award at the 21st Zurich Film Festival, Zurich announced Thursday. An Oscar winner for her score to Todd Phillips’ Joker, making her the first-ever solo female artist to win the Academy Award for best score, Gudnadóttir is also known for her music for Todd Field’s Tár (2022) and Kenneth Branagh’s A Haunting in Venice (2023) and for her Emmy-winning score for HBO’s Chernobyl (2019). Eugene Jarecki, director of Julian Assange film “The Six Billion Dollar Man,” has been awarded the first-ever Golden Globe Prize for Documentary. His film world premieres at Cannes Film Festival.

The award, presented by Artemis Rising Foundation, was given to Jarecki on Monday at the Cannes Film Festival.

Jarecki is a two-time winner of the Sundance Grand Jury Prize, as well as multiple Emmy and Peabody Awards.

The prize honors a filmmaker for their “contribution in shaping the documentary genre and challenging the way audiences see the world.”

The jury is composed of president of Golden Globes, Helen Hoehne; founder and CEO of Artemis Rising Foundation, Regina K. Scully; Academy Award winning producer and co-founder of Impact Partners, Geralyn White Dreyfous; and actor and producer Tessa Thompson.

In deciding to award Jarecki, the jury highlighted how “his films combine the skills of a journalist with the voice of a poet.

Earlier this week, we got a first look at what appeared to be a downed Sentinel on the set of Avengers: Doomsday. Now, we have a birds-eye view offering a clearer shot at the mutant-hunting robot's legs (in what's believed to be the X-Mansion's grounds).

We also have reason to believe that we'll see the remains of more than one Sentinel, as you can see below.

Unfortunately, the legs are still covered up, but the photographer who took these shots has confirmed that the footprints they've seen elsewhere on set match the Sentinel design from the comics.
