‘Mura’ Ending Explained & Full Story: Who Killed Rama Chechi?
Image
You’d be well within your rights to state that the Malayalam film industry has come up with some really good original stories, regardless of genre. Mura, for example, is a crime drama focusing on a group of young boys and their mentor as they take on criminal activities. Directed by Muhammed Musthafa, the director of Kappela, this is yet another engaging tale of the crime world and its underbelly in the towns of Kerala.

Spoilers Ahead

What were the young boys up to?

Mura began with Rama Chechi, a rich, corrupt businesswoman who has many henchmen working for her, being killed by two unknown men in Bangalore. The movie moves to a flashback that introduces Manu, Manaf, Anandhu, and Saji, four young boys working for a local rowdy named Ani, who is in turn Rama Chechi’s right-hand man. These four boys carry out illegal activities like ransacking and vandalizing a specific office space.

Greatest One-Punch Man Manga Panels
Image
Writer One's One-Punch Man is one of the best ongoing seinen stories, with Yusuke Murata's artwork being among the greatest in the manga medium. Its subversive plot elements to the superhero genre are consistently fun, the character designs are inventive, and the action is famously exhilarating.

Murata does a superb job of injecting style and cathartic motion into this adaptation of One's original webcomic. Thanks to a combination of a colorful cast of heroes and villains and Murata's interpretation of the action, the manga always delivers stunning moments. From depicting the menacing nature of Garou to various stunning landscape shots, One-Punch Man is a visual feast for the eyes.

Updated on November 24, 2023, by Guillermo Kurten: One-Punch Man is one of the most acclaimed ongoing manga series both in and out of the seinen demographic. The story is consistently engaging, action-packed, and hilarious with how it subverts superhero genre tropes.

‘Star Trek: Legacy’ Isn’t a Real Show Yet – but Fans and Stars Are Clamoring for It
Image
If you follow “Star Trek” on Twitter and other social media spaces, you’d think that “Star Trek: Legacy” is a real show, given all the buzz surrounding it. A Change.org petition to have Paramount+’s “Star Trek: Picard” showrunner Terry Matalas helm the proposed spin-off is closing in on 50,000 signatures, which would change it’s status on the site to “top signed.”

But alas, “Legacy” isn’t on the current or future “Trek” slate. And with the current Writers’ Guild strike, it doesn’t look likely in the near future. But never count out the power of the “Star Trek” fandom, which has supported the franchise for nearly six decades, including fallow periods of no television or theatrical production.

Here’s what you need to know about “Legacy” and why “Trek” fans and stars are clamoring for it.

‘Star Trek: Picard’ Season 3 Ending and Post-Credit Scene Explained
Michael Dorn, Jonathan Frakes, Gates McFadden, Marina Sirtis, Brent Spiner, LeVar Burton, Patrick Stewart, Jeri Ryan, Michelle Hurd, and Ed Speleers in Star Trek: Picard (2020)
“Star Trek: Picard” wrapped Thursday with a satisfying conclusion that found the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise and its allies prevailing over humanity’s greatest threat.

But just when viewers thought the voyage was over, a cliffhanger ending left the door open for new adventures through the cosmos and beyond.

Read on for an explainer on the ending of “Star Trek: Picard” and its post-credit scene.

Warning, major spoilers ahead from the series finale of “Star Trek: Picard” titled “The Last Generation.”

By the end of “Star Trek: Picard’s” tenth episode, the Borg threat was eliminated thanks to the ingenuity of Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) and the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise-d, who “borrowed” the ship from the Fleet Museum.

We skip ahead one year, and the Enterprise-d has been returned to the museum. William Riker (Jonathan Frakes), Picard and Geordi La Forge (LeVar Burton...

Picard Season 3’s Big Titan Twist Just Set Up Star Trek: Legacy
Image
This post contains major spoilers for Star Trek: Picard

“I have been, and always shall be… an asshole.”

No, those weren’t the last words of Captain Liam Shaw, so sadly cut down at the height of his popularity in the penultimate episode of Star Trek: Picard‘s third season. In his last moments, Shaw does something much more satisfying, on a personal and TV show level, by turning command of the USS Titan over to Seven of Nine — using her true name, not Annika Hansen.

Seven’s eventual captaincy has been a frequent point of speculation since the season began with the one-time Borg back in Starfleet. Previous seasons of Picard had presented Seven as a member of the Fenris Rangers, a non-Federation-sanctioned vigilante group devoted to protecting the innocent and avenging wrongs. When that duty drove Seven to dual-wield phasers to gun down the criminal Bjayzl and her...

Picard Season 3's Latest Character Death Hits A Lot Harder Than Expected
Image
This post contains spoilers up to the ninth episode of "Star Trek: Picard" season 3.

If one is a user of social media ... well, first off, my apologies. But, if so, enterprising Trekkies may find that the hashtag "#StarTrekLegacy" has floated through the discourse. "Star Trek: Legacy" is already the name of a "Trek" tie-in 2006 PC game that allowed players to engage in elaborate starship tactics using vehicles from "Star Trek," "Star Trek: The Next Generation," and "Star Trek: Enterprise." The hashtag, however, has nothing to do with the game and is, instead, a plea to Paramount from many fans of "Star Trek: Picard" to launch a spin-off TV series.

For many Trekkies, this fan-proposed television show would ideally be set on board the U.S.S. Titan-a and would star Todd Stashwick as Captain Liam Shaw and Jeri Ryan as his first officer, Seven of Nine. "Picard" also introduced several...

‘Star Trek’ Picard: Let’s Talk About That ‘Next Generation’ Cameo and Chilling Voiceover
Michael Dorn, Jonathan Frakes, Gates McFadden, Marina Sirtis, Brent Spiner, LeVar Burton, Patrick Stewart, Jeri Ryan, Michelle Hurd, and Ed Speleers in Star Trek: Picard (2020)
“Star Trek: Picard” has had no shortage of guest appearances, from Ro Laren (Michelle Forbes) in Episode 5 to Tuvok (Tim Russ) in Episode 7.

Episode 9, titled “Vox,” featured another blast from the past and a voiceover that will send chills down any Trek fan’s spine.

But be warned. Major, major spoilers lie ahead. Do Not proceed unless you want to be spoiled.

Episode 8 left off with Troi (Marina Sirtis) and Jack Crusher at the precipice of the red door he’s been seeing in visions. Along with the visions, a female voice beckoned him to “find me.”

Troi assures Jack he is not alone as she approaches the door. She opens it, discovers who is calling out to Jack, and runs to immediately see Beverly and Picard, Jack’s parents.

Final spoiler alert!

It turns out the cybernetic race known as The Borg have been calling out to Jack. They...

Star Trek: Picard Season 3 Theory Brings Back a Major DS9 Villain for the Finale
Image
This Star Trek: Picard article contains spoilers.

What’s behind the red door? No matter how much Star Trek: Picard keeps insisting that we’ll soon learn the truth about Jack Crusher, the son of Beverly Crusher and Jean-Luc Picard, the show keeps moving the goalposts, shoving the explanation off to the next episode. Unsurprisingly, the internet has filled in the gaps with their own theories. One of the latest would bring back one of the most mysterious villains from Deep Space Nine: the Pah-wraiths.

For those who don’t recall, the Pah-wraiths are the evil counterparts to the Prophets, central figures in the Bajoran religion. Where Bajorans worship the Prophets for their benevolent guidance, they fear the Pah-wraiths for their destructive meddling. Through Benjamin Sisko‘s encounters with the Prophets, we learn that they are not gods, but an alien race living in the wormhole outside of Bajor.

Star Trek: Picard Season 3 Episode 8 Review: Surrender
Michael Dorn, Jonathan Frakes, Gates McFadden, Marina Sirtis, Brent Spiner, LeVar Burton, Patrick Stewart, Jeri Ryan, Michelle Hurd, and Ed Speleers in Star Trek: Picard (2020)
Despite not resolving anything about the Changelings' Frontier Day plot, arguably the entire point of the season, Star Trek: Picard Season 3 Episode 8 manages to feel like a victorious conclusion.

Like the Titan's escape from the nebula (punctuated beautifully by Riker's asteroid toss at the Shrike) on Star Trek: Picard Season 3 Episode 4, Vadic's defeat and the Shrike's destruction is an apex moment, both incredibly satisfying and questionable in strategic acumen.

With only two outings before the curtain falls on the series, there is a sense of luxury in how much time we spend on the Enterprise-d's crew reunion.

That's not to disparage the high tension and apprehension built around the Titan's hostage situation.

Vadic is an A-list villain to the very end: cutting off the ship's systems; toying with the crew, cowering about the ship; following through on her threats to the lives on the bridge.

The only regret is...

Picard Season 3 Episode 2 Easter Eggs: The Best Star Trek References
Image
This Star Trek: Picard article contains spoilers.

Part of what makes Star Trek: Picard season 3 so compelling for old-school Tng fans is the endless love these episodes have for the ‘90s era of Trek. But the references and easter eggs actually go way beyond just The Next Generation. In fact, what makes this season so interesting when it comes to the deep cuts is the fact that some references extend way beyond the Star Trek universe, and into other fandoms and franchises.

So, with that in mind, here are all the best easter eggs we caught for Picard season 3, episode 2, “Disengage.”

The Shrike Hiding in the Star Trek Logo Introduction

Since Strange New Worlds, the new shows have opened with a Star Trek logo, complete with whichever ship is the “star” of the particular program. But there are sometimes small easter eggs lurking in these intros. For example, in the Lower Decks intro,...

Every Picard Titan-a Bridge Crew Member (& Season 3 Clues)
Image
The USS Titan-a's bridge crew in Star Trek: Picard season 3 has been revealed by showrunner Terry Matalas, and he dropped some fascinating clues about the season and the starship's personnel. Admiral Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) reassembles his Star Trek: The Next Generation crew to meet a new enemy named Captain Vadic (Amanda Plummer). But Picard and Captain William T. Riker (Jonathan Frakes) don't come aboard the USS Enterprise-f. Instead, Star Trek: Picard season 3's hero ship is the USS TItan-a.

No matter how powerful or technologically advanced the USS Titan-a is, a starship is only as good as its crew. Picard and Riker join a ship staffed by a new generation of 25th-century Starfleet Officers. Terry Matalas' Tweets introduced the Titan's crew, which has a couple of familiar and friendly faces along for the ride.

Thread! Meet The Bridge Crew of the USS Titan! Starting with: Ensign Sidney Laforge - Helm.
