Tim Riel's writing had a major impact on Los Angeles theater with the
cult-favorite play "Timothy and Charlie." Based on the chance meeting
between Timothy Leary and Charlie Manson in Folsom Prison, the play
drew critical acclaim for its incisive character study and potent use
of multimedia. Tim Leary, with a beautiful young woman on his arm and a
bottle of wine in hand, was a regular attendee before his final days on
this plane. Riel went on to write, direct, and produce a short film based on the
infamous scientific study, The Milgram Experiment. "Shocking" was the
official selection of the Hoboken Film Festival 2013, the Big Apple Film
Festival 2013, as well as the Idyllwild International Festival of
Cinema 2014 where it was nominated for four awards including Best
Featurette, Best Director of a Featurette, Best Screenplay - and
starring actor, Jamison Reeves, took home Best Actor in a Featurette.
