White House: Donald Trump, Attorneys Don’t Intend To Participate In Next Impeachment Hearing
The next impeachment hearing will be on Wednesday, but neither President Donald Trump nor his attorneys plan to take part in it.

White House Counsel Pat Cipollone wrote in a lengthy letter to Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) that “we cannot fairly be expected to participate in a hearing while the witnesses are yet to be named and while it remains unclear whether the Judiciary Committee will afford the President a fair process through additional hearings.”

Nadler gave Trump and his representatives until 6 Pm Et on Sunday to inform them whether they would participate in the hearing, which will focus on the constitutional case for impeachment.

As he has before, Cipollone objected to the hearings as an unfair process, and argued that Nadler gave them just days to prepare. He also wrote that they were not given an opportunity to participate in the five Intelligence Committee hearings that have featured fact witnesses,...

Exasperated Chuck Todd Tells Gop Senator He’s ‘Selling’ Putin’s Argument
Chuck Todd in Meet the Press (1947)
On Sunday’s Meet the Press, host Chuck Todd did his best to hold Senator John Kennedy (R-La.) accountable for muddying up the waters when it comes to the facts about Russian meddling in the 2016 U.S. elections.

After Kennedy classified Fiona Hill’s impeachment testimony that Russia alone was responsible for the 2016 election interference as “opinion,” the host asked the senator:

“When does opinion become fact? Does 17 intelligence services saying it, does every Western intelligence ally saying Russia did this? I’m just sort of confused, at what point...

Republicans Are Waging War on Reality to Defend Dear Leader Trump
Washington — Republican lawmakers took to the airwaves Sunday to defend their leader, President Trump, after a week of compelling and at times damning testimony in the House’s ongoing impeachment inquiry.

The most absurd and delusional of these appearances came on Fox News anchor Chris Wallace’s show. Wallace had invited on Republican Senator John Neely Kennedy (R-La.). At one point in the interview, Wallace showed an excerpt of former National Security Council staffer and impeachment witness Fiona Hill’s testimony this week when she chided members of the Intelligence...

Impeachment Ratings: 11.3 Million Watched Fiona Hill-David Holmes Testimony; Fox News Tops Coverage For Week, MSNBC For Final Day
Early audience numbers from Nielsen Media Research show that 11.3 million people watched the final day of impeachment coverage, when former National Security Council official Fiona Hill and diplomat David Holmes testified at the House inquiry.

The Thursday number is slight dip from the average audience of 11.4 million watched the previous day.

The figure is for the three cable major news networks — Fox News, CNN and MSNBC — and three major broadcast networks, ABC, CBS and NBC, which pre-empted regular programming to cover the hearings.

According to the early numbers, MSNBC beat Fox News Channel for the total audience on Thursday’s coverage, with 2.4 million viewers. Fox had 2.1 million, and CNN posted 1.6 million.

Among the broadcasters, ABC topped with 1.74 million, followed by CBS with 1.71 million and NBC with 1.6 million.

In the 25-54 demographic, NBC was on top with 476,000, followed by 424,000 for ABC and 369,000 for CBS. Among the cable networks, CNN had 375,000, MSNBC...

Republicans Are Knowingly Using Putin’s Talking Points to Defend Trump
For years now, Russia has sought to frame Ukraine for its own actions interfering with the 2016 presidential election, the New York Times reported, citing three American officials. And, despite being briefed on Russia’s efforts, some in Congress are pushing these conspiracy theories, as seen in Republicans’ questions and speeches during the impeachment hearings.

The White House’s former top Russia advisor, Fiona Hill, backed up the intelligence community’s assertion in her impeachment testimony on Thursday, saying, “Some of you on this committee appear to believe that Russia and...

‘Young And The Restless’ November 21, 2019 Episode Delayed In USA For Certain Time Zones
Hey, "Young And The Restless" fans. For some of you guys in certain time zones, it appears that the "Young And The Restless" episode got preempted again yesterday, November 21, 2019 for the President Donald Trump impeachment hearings. We took a look at the official "Young And The Restless" Twitter page and found out by some of the commenters that some of them actually got to watch half of the episode before it got preempted. Then some of them said the whole episode was preempted for them. So, it was definitely a different situation for certain times zones. We know for a fact here in the central time zone, half of the episode was preempted. We're pretty sure the whole episode aired on the West Coast because the hearings ended before 11:30 am Pacific time. Yesterday's November 21, 2019 impeachment hearings featured testimony from former National Security Council staffer Fiona Hill. The good news...

Trump Surprises ‘Fox & Friends’ Panel: ‘Frankly, I Want a Trial’ (Video)
During a Friday morning appearance on Fox News’ “Fox and Friends,” President Donald Trump renewed his criticism of the recent House impeachment inquiry hearings and surprised the hosts by calling for a trial so he can call his own witnesses.

Calling into the Fox News morning show, Trump said the Democrats looked like “fools” during the hearings. He specifically called out Rep. Adam Schiff, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee.

“All of those witnesses, they’re all Shifty Schiff’s,” he said.

“Don’t forget there was no due process,” he said. “You can’t have lawyers. We couldn’t have any witnesses.”

Donald Trump Calls Into ‘Fox & Friends’ In Extended Attack On Democrats, The Media, Impeachment And Ukraine
Donald Trump
Donald Trump gave his first extended interview following this week’s impeachment inquiry hearings to Fox & Friends, and it was what would be expected: A lengthy attack, even a tirade at times, on Democrats, the news media and Ukraine.

The hosts at times questioned some of Trump’s assertions.

Trump advanced a debunked conspiracy theory that the hacked Democratic National Committee server was somehow given to the Ukrainians to hide the country’s role – not Russia’s – in meddling in the 2016 election.

“The FBI went in and said, ‘We’re not giving it to you.’ They gave the server to Crowdstrike, which is a company owned by a very wealthy Ukrainian. And I still want to see that server. You know the FBI has still never gotten that server. That is a big part of this whole thing. Why did they give it to a Ukrainian company?”

Host Steve Doocy interjected,...

‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’ Talks About A Drug Deal That Was Breaking Bad
Something was being cooked in the Ukraine matter, according to impeachment inquiry testimony from Dr. Fiona Hill, a former official at the National Security Council specializing in Soviet, Russian and European affairs.

In a segment titled Corroborating Evidence, The Late Show host Stephen Colbert broke down her testimony. Hill indicated that during a meeting, former national security adviser John Bolton indicated that he thought Rudolph Giuliani was “a hand grenade that’s going to blow everyone up.”

“He seems more like a Molotov cocktail to me,” quipped Colbert. “Used by Russians and full of alcohol.”

Hill testified that she attended a July 11 meeting with Bolton, Energy Secretary Rick Perry, and European Union Ambassador Gordon Sondland, during which the conditions of Ukraine leader Volodymyr Zelensky getting a meeting were discussed. After the meeting, Bolton told Hill to go to National Security Council legal adviser John Eisenberg and report that Bolton was...

‘Bold And The Beautiful’ November 21, 2019 Episode Delayed In USA For Most Time Zones
Hey, "Bold And The Beautiful" fans. We are back at you again today, November 21, 2019 with another bad news article. Once again, CBS did decide to preempt the airing of "The Bold And The Beautiful" to show more of the President Donald Trump Impeachment hearings. However, the hearings did end much earlier today. So, it may have still aired in the Mountain and Western time zones. We're also pretty sure it still aired in Canada. Three Things You Need to Know From Thursday’s Impeachment Hearing
Washington — Dr. Fiona Hill and David Holmes appeared before Congress on Thursday in the sixth and likely final public impeachment hearing not as Democratic- or Republican-called witnesses but as fact witnesses. Holmes, a career foreign service officer and adviser in the U.S. embassy in Ukraine, overheard the phone call when President Trump asked EU Ambassador Gordon Sondland if Ukraine would announce the investigation into the Bidens. Hill, the former National Security Council senior director for Russia, was in the room when Sondland told American and Ukrainian officials that...

Impeachment Hearings: Fiona Hill’s “Be Together” Moment – Update
2Nd Update, 12:40 Pm Pt: Fiona Hill faced a grilling by some Republicans as the impeachment inquiry resumed, but she had a standout moment when one of the lawmakers, Rep. Brad Wenstrup (R-Oh), complained that Democrats were engaged in a “coup.”

“We’re here just to provide what we know and what we’ve heard,” she said. “I understand that for many members, this may be hearsay. I’ve talked about things I’ve heard, with my own ears.”

She added, “We’re here to relate to you what we heard, what we saw, and what we did, and to be of some help to all of you in really making a very momentous decision here. We are not the people who make that decision.”

She then made an appeal to unity. “We need to be together again in 2020 so the American people can make a choice about the...

Donald Trump
The fifth day of televised public hearings in the Donald Trump impeachment inquiry by the House Intelligence Committee gets underway at 9 a.m. Et/6 a.m. Pt. Watch the livestream here.

Set to give testimony today on Capitol Hill are Dr. Fiona Hill, former Senior Director for Europe and Russia on the National Security Council, and David Holmes, Political Counselor at the U.S Embassy in Kiev, Ukraine. Hill and Holmes will deliver opening statements, if they so choose, and then will be questioned in 45-minute blocks of time from each side.

The Democrats and Republicans can choose their respective counsels to do the questioning. That is a break from a typical hearing, in which members questioned witnesses in five-minute increments, alternating between Dems and Gop reps based on seniority. That still will happen — but it will only come later in the hearing.

‘General Hospital’ November 20, 2019 Episode Delayed In USA For Most Time Zones

‘Days Of Our Lives’ November 20, 2019 Episode Delayed In USA. It Didn’t Air
Hey, "Days Of Our Lives" fans. We are back on here again to address this whole situation with the impeachment hearings. Today, November 20, 2019, the Donald Trump impeachment hearings did indeed cause today's November 20, 2019 episode of Days Of Our Lives to get preempted in the United States. As far as we know, it did still air in Canada. We're also pretty sure "Days Of Our Lives" was preempted in all time zones in the United States because the hearings lasted until 3 pm central standard time. All the major networks: ABC, NBC and CBS covered the hearings today, and they did not let up like they have in the past. In some of the previous hearings, we would see the networks switch back and forth between regular scheduled programming and these hearings. That was certainly not the case today. They kept it deadlocked on the hearings. So, they must have been very compelling.

How to Watch and Livestream This Week’s Impeachment Hearings
The House impeachment inquiry into President Donald J. Trump is again being broadcast live this week, with three days of public hearings. This week’s hearings began on Tuesday, November 19 and will end on Thursday, November 21. There will be a total of five hearings this week, taking place in both the morning and the afternoon.

Investigators for the House of Representatives are looking into whether Trump abused his public office for private gain, specifically in his dealings with Ukraine. From attempting to pressure the Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelensky into investigating former Vice President Joe Biden for corruption and asking Zelensky to investigate the conspiracy theory that it was Ukraine than interfered in the 2016 election — on behalf of Hillary Clinton’s campaign — to White House officials concealing records of phone correspondence on July 25 between Trump and Zelensky, a number of government officials already testified about these impeachable offenses to Congress behind closed doors.

How To Watch The House Impeachment Hearings On TV & Online
Updated with schedules for Week 2 hearings: The House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence will continue public hearings in the impeachment inquiry of President Donald Trump for a second week beginning Tuesday. Last week’s three witnesses marked the first such hearings to take place since President Bill Clinton was impeached in 1998 and only the fourth time against a sitting president in U.S. history.

The House of Representatives is probing charges that Trump attempted to coerce Ukraine, a foreign government, to launch an investigation of political rival Joe Biden and his son. The hearings could wrap before the end of the year.

Like last week, cable networks are planning full-court coverage for scheduled hearings this Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (see the breakdown below). Most broadcast networks plan to break in to regularly scheduled programming, while offering uninterrupted coverage via their digital outlets.

Deadline will also live-stream all the hearings this week.

Impeachment Hearings Viewership Stays Steady In Day 2 Testimony; Fox News In 1st Place, Again
Donald Trump
Heading into a week featuring star witness Gordon Sondland and with Donald Trump claiming this morning he might show up too, the start of the impeachment hearings of the 45th President of the United States may be remembered more as a stage setter than a showstopper.

However, over two days of partisan jousting, three career diplomats, social media salvos from the ex-Celebrity Apprentice host and wall-to-wall coverage, it has proven to be a fairly well watched stage setter after all – despite the White House line that the whole thing was a bore.

Coming off a debut viewership of around 13.8 million over nearly a dozen cable and broadcast outlets on November 13, the November 15 sworn testimony of pink slipped Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch earned praise from many non-gop and Oval Office quarters. Facing what some termed “witness intimidation” in real time from Trump’s Twitter feed, the frontline career diplomat received a standing...

Impeachment Hearings Debut With 13M Viewers; Fox News Tops Cable & Broadcast
Donald Trump
It was just by a hair, but the debut of the impeachment hearings against Donald Trump yesterday beat Robert Mueller’s testimony before Congress earlier this year …barely.

With a grand total of 13,098,000 Americans tuning in to watch the televised opening of the House Select Committee on Intelligence questioning on Wednesday, Ambassador William Taylor and Deputy Secretary of State George Kent topped the 12.9 million who saw the former FBI Director’s circumspect stint in the hot seat on July 25.

Having said that with Nielsen numbers from Fox News Channel. MSNBC, ABC, CNN, CBS and NBC now in, the 10 Am – 3:30 Pm Et hearing stumbled against another big ticket testimony. The Wednesday event, that the former Celebrity Apprentice host insists he didn’t watch, was down a hard 32% from the audience that eyed pink slipped FBI Director James Comey’s appearance before our elected representatives in June 2017.

All the Evidence of Trump’s Ukraine Quid Pro Quo, Together in One Place
House Democrats’ impeachment case hinges on whether the Trump administration pursued a quid pro quo with Ukraine, withholding military aid and a White House invitation in order to extort new President Volodymyr Zelensky into investigating Joe Biden and the 2016 election.

If President Trump did engage in such a quid pro quo, it would amount to precisely the type of abuse of power the Founding Fathers had in mind when they wrote the impeachment clause into the Constitution. But after a month of damning testimony from an array of witnesses with...
