Kiko Matos was born Francisco Manabat Perestelo De Matos in Macau on September 22, 1990 to a Portuguese father and a Filipino mother. Kiko has a brother named Gonzalo Matos.

Kiko attended Ann Arbor Montessori in Parañaque, Metro Manila, Philippines. In 2018, his partner Maria Martinez gave birth to their daughter.
