Awesome news for fans of these so-called Sushi Typhoon films. Well Go USA has released a press note saying they’ve acquired the distribution rights to release Mutant Girls Squad, Helldriver (review here), Karate-Robo Zaorgar, and more to DVD this Fall.

It looks like fans of crazy, bloody, Japanese films will be plenty excited.

Now they have picked up the rights to five Sushi Typhoon flicks. Deadball and Karate-Robo Zaborgar from Nikkatsu Corporation’s leading genre film label, The Sushi Typhoon. Launched in 2010, The Sushi Typhoon was created by Producer Yoshinori Chiba and aims to bring the best talent from Japanese cult cinema to worldwide audiences.

Citing the growth potential and rabid fanbase, Well Go USA has nabbed the rights to five titles from Nikkatsu Corporation's Sushi Typhoon label. Well Go USA is now the proud owner of Mutant Girls Squad, Helldriver, Yakuza Weapon, Deadball and Karate-Robo Zaborgar. A thorough and descriptive list to say the least.

Varying from hilarious comedy to splatterific violence, the one common thread of all these films is going over-the-top for the sake of entertainment. And isn't that what we really want? Explode that head! Let's see some arterial spray! Bring it on! Stay tuned as Well Go will begin rolling out these titles beginning in the fall of 2011. You've been warned.

Helldriver is the latest movie from Sushi Typhoon, the Japanese producing outfit behind Alien vs. Ninja, and Mutant Girls Squad and tells the story of:

An alien-spawned, mysterious mist blankets the northern half of Japan, transforming those who inhale it into ravenous, flesh-eating zombies hell-bent on devouring the surviving human population. Plunged into chaos, Japan is torn in two—the southern half of the country, where the populace remains untouched by the deadly gas, lives behind a heavily-fortified wall, while the northern half is a lawless, zombie-infected wasteland. Political forces are locked in a stalemate over whether the living dead should remain protected as family members or exterminated like a plague. The economy withers away, and all hope seems lost for the people and the nation of Japan.

Hope arrives in the form of Kika (Yumiko Hara), a beautiful high school girl armed with a chainsaw sword powered by an artificial heart.

With one of the greatest titles in recent memory, a Japanese Av idol packed cast and an entirely superfluous 3D gimmick, it’s little surprise that “Big Tits Zombie 3D” has become an international cult sensation, enjoying great success at midnight shows all around the world. Rarely does the title of a film alone make us want to see it, but it does happen. For instance, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Nail Gun Massacre, Blood Sucking Freaks, and of course The Toolbox Murders. Yep, a good name can immediately make a horror fan's eyes open wide. There’s hardly anyone in the audience at the strip club and all the other strippers, including Ginko (Risa Kasumi), Maria (Mari Sakurai), Nene (Tamayo) and Dana (Io Aikawa) are all bored stiff. They don’t know what to do with their time and they are on the verge of fighting each other.

Unrepentant trash? You bet, but gleefully so. Director Takao Nakano is about to unleash Japanese Av star Sola Aoi (Sora Aoi, 蒼井そら) against hordes of the undead in his film adaptation of Rei Mikamoto's cult manga Kyonyo Dragon and we've got your first look at the film with a gallery of stills below.
