Image
Jeanne Cooper Once Confessed She Dated On-Screen Son Beau Kazer ( Photo Credit – Facebook )

The Young and the Restless Star Jeanne Cooper passed away at the age of 84. She gave one of her most candid and entertaining interviews to The New York Post in 2012. In the Interview, Cooper, who portrayed the Iconic Katherine Chancellor on the CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless for over forty years, confessed she had an affair with her own “son,” that is, her TV son, Beau Kazer, aka Brock Reynolds.

The wonderfully fabulous late Jeanne Cooper had a hell of a time in her forty-year tenure in The Young & The Restless. Cooper’s “Y&r” alter-ego, Katherine, was an alcoholic, had a facelift, had affairs, and was beaten to an emotional pulp by her philandering husband.

Cooper’s real life often mimicked her on-screen storylines. The actress has been candid about her struggles with alcoholism,...

Image
Here’s What Nicola Coughlan Revealed About Filming A Different Lady Whistledown Reveal (Photo Credit – Instagram)

The big Lady Whistledown reveal in Bridgerton nearly played out very differently. According to Nicola Coughlan (Penelope Featherington) at Netflix’s 2021 Tudum event, the Season 1 finale almost pointed the finger at someone else entirely—Cressida Cowper—rather than unmasking Penelope.

How Bridgerton’s Biggest Secret Almost Took a Surprising Turn

Yep, the mean girl who thrives on drama was almost given the title of the Ton’s biggest gossip writer. But the creators went with the reveal we all know in a last-minute decision. Now, let’s dive into what went down and why this alternate ending would have completely changed the Bridgerton universe.

Eloise Bridgerton wasn’t the only one shocked by Penelope’s secret. Coughlan herself had no clue she was playing Lady Whistledown until after she got the role. And the craziest part?...

‘Bridgerton’ production designer Alison Gartshore on crafting ‘moments of magic’ in the opulent ballrooms of Regency-era London
Image
"Balls are always very difficult to fit everything in - you have to have space for the dancing, you have to have the food and drink elements, you have to have a space for the queen, which has to be elevated. So, bringing all those elements together into one set and allowing all the interactions that need to happen between all the characters is quite a tall feat," Emmy-nominated production designer Alison Gartshore says about designing Bridgerton's lavish high-society soirees. On the back of her first career nomination, the designer gratefully declares during Gold Derby's Meet the Experts: TV Production Designers panel that, "with a wing and a prayer and you hope for the best and hope that the work speaks for itself." (Watch our full interview above.)

Apple TV+'s Perfect Bridgerton Replacement Is Climbing Global Streaming Charts As Season 2 Ends
Image
Apple TV's perfect Bridgerton replacement is climbing the global streaming charts ahead of its season 2 finale. Based on Julia Quinn's romance novels, each season of Netflix's popular period drama follows a different member of the eponymous noble family as they find love in a historically alternative version of Regency-era London.

Bridgerton's cast includes names like Jonathan Bailey, Nicola Coughlan, Phoebe Dynevor, Regé-Jean Page, and Simone Ashley, many of whom have been catapulted to greater fame courtesy of the series. Since its debut in 2020, Bridgerton has consistently been one of Netflix's most-watched series, with seasons 1 and 3 both ranking among the streamer's top 10 most popular shows of all time worldwide.

As a result, there have been many shows similar to Bridgerton attempting to capitalize on its success, including Prime Video's My Lady Jane, which was controversially canceled after one season in August 2024. Now, another Bridgerton replacement is rising up the global streaming charts,...

September 1 Will Be A Terrible Day For Harry Potter Fans
Image
Harry Potter fans are about to be disappointed. The annual "Back to Hogwarts" celebration at King's Cross Station, London - the site that the fictional Hogwarts Express leaves from - has been canceled.

Collider shared the news with Potterheads, confirming the event has been permanently cancelled. The celebration is traditionally held on Sept. 1, and the staff at the London station put up a fake announcement for the Hogwarts Express. The celebration didn't happen in 2024 and fans were hoping it would be back by 2025. A spokesperson for Britain's National Rail told newspaper The Sun that suddenly hosting so many people "made it challenging for us as station operator" and “it is the same for this year, in that we won’t be hosting the event at the station.”

Warner Bros. released a statement as well. They said, via The Sun, "Similar to last year, we can confirm that there will be no Back to Hogwarts event,...

From Sony Pictures Animation, the studio behind hits like Spider‑Man: Across the Spider‑Verse, comes a bold new action‑comedy with heart. Goat, an original animated movie set in an all‑animal world, arrives in theaters next year. It tells a story that struck a personal chord with one of its stars: Stephen Curry.

The film follows a small goat named Will. He gets a once‑in‑a‑lifetime chance to play in a high‑intensity, full‑contact sport called roarball. The challenge? Will is tiny, living in a world dominated by the fastest and fiercest animals. However, he is determined to prove that “smalls can ball.” As a result, Will sets out to challenge expectations and change the game.

This journey resonated deeply with Curry. He not only voices a character named Lenny but also serves as a producer on Goat. In addition, Curry...

Rewatching Bridgerton Might Prove One Character Is Hiding a Paternity Bomb
Image
Well, this might just be the kind of scandal Lady Whistledown lives for. What if Marina Thompson wasn’t telling the whole truth about her baby’s father? Go back and rewatch Bridgerton Season 1 with that idea in mind, and suddenly, all signs start pointing to one surprising name: Colin Bridgerton. The timeline starts to look suspicious. Marina claimed the baby was George Crane’s, but we never get a clear sense of when that relationship actually happened.

What’s also strange is that her signs of pregnancy started showing almost immediately after arriving at the Featherington house. And right then, she and Colin were growing close. Then fast forward to Season 2, where we finally get to see Marina’s kids. They were fair-skinned, light-haired, and had features that felt more Bridgerton than Crane. Sure, looks alone don’t confirm anything, but why would a show like Bridgerton throw in details like that?...

Stephen Curry’s ‘Goat’ Trailer Drops: A Small Goat Takes on Big Dreams in Animated Sports Comedy
Image
The first trailer for Goat, the new animated sports comedy from Sony Pictures Animation and Columbia Pictures, is finally here, and it’s all about going big, even when you’re small.

NBA legend Stephen Curry helped launch the trailer this week, where he introduces the movie and its unlikely hero: a little goat named Will Harris. Will’s voice is played by Caleb McLaughlin from Stranger Things, and his big dream is to make it in the world of roarball — a wild, high-speed, full-contact sport played by some of the toughest animals around.

Curry doesn’t actually voice the goat though. He plays Lenny, a tall giraffe athlete. Still, he sets the tone with the film’s main message: “You’re never too small to dream big.”

Set in a world full of animals, Goat follows Will as he gets a shot at joining a pro roarball team. But...

Stephen Curry Drops First Trailer for Animated Sports Movie ‘Goat’ — And It’s Not What You Think
Image
Sony Pictures Animation has just released the teaser trailer for Goat, and it’s not about Stephen Curry calling himself the greatest of all time.

Goat is an original animated movie coming from Sony Pictures Animation and Columbia Pictures, the same team behind Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. It follows Will Harris, a young goat who wants to go pro in a wild, high-speed sport called roarball. The main character is voiced by Stranger Things star Caleb McLaughlin.

The movie is set in a world full of animals, and roarball is a full-contact, co-ed sport where only the toughest survive. So when Will gets his big chance to play with the pros, no one takes him seriously. He’s small, not exactly intimidating,...

Colin Bridgerton May Run the Featherington Estate But He’ll Never Have the One Thing That Matters
Image
Season 3 of Bridgerton brought Colin and Penelope’s love story to a close, but things are looking bright for them in the future season. Now parents to a son, as per what we learned in the second season, their child will be the new Lord Featherington.

While that in itself is good news for the parents, it raises another dilemma for Colin, who will probably take on the responsibility of the Featherington estate as a steward, giving him power but no title. Pedro Pascal Blasts J.K. Rowling: “Bullies Make Me Sick” in Fiery Defense of Trans Rights
Image
Pedro Pascal didn’t stay quiet when J.K. Rowling showed support for a U.K. court decision that said transgender people are not legally recognized as the gender they identify with. In an interview with Vanity Fair, the actor made it clear how strongly he felt. He called Rowling’s actions “heinous loser behavior” and said that “bullies make me f***** sick.”*

For Pascal, this issue is deeply personal. His sister, Lux Pascal, came out as transgender in 2021. He said he felt the need to speak up for her and for others affected by the ruling. “I want to protect the people I love. But it goes beyond that,” he told Vanity Fair.

Pascal admitted that once his comments went viral, he had some second thoughts. He said it felt like getting in trouble at school again and wondered, “Am I helping?” Still, he chose to stand by what he said,...

Pedro Pascal Slams J.K. Rowling’s “Heinous Loser” Behavior: “Bullies Make Me Sick”
Image
Pedro Pascal didn’t hold back when asked about J.K. Rowling and her support of an anti-trans ruling in the U.K. In an interview with Vanity Fair, the actor called out what he described as her “heinous loser behavior,” saying it made him feel sick.

His comments came after Rowling celebrated a court ruling that said trans women and men are not legally recognized as women or men under the Equality Act.

Pascal’s strong reaction wasn’t just about politics; it was personal. His younger sister, Lux Pascal, came out as transgender in 2021. Speaking to Vanity Fair, he explained, “Bullies make me f****** sick. I want to protect the people I love. But it goes beyond that.”

He admitted he felt a little nervous when his comment went viral. It reminded him of being a kid in trouble at school. “I agonized over it a little,” he said.

Pedro Pascal doubles down on J.K. Rowling criticism: "Bullies make me f**king sick"
Image
A couple months ago, the U.K. Supreme Court issued a ruling stating, essentially, that transgender women are not legally considered women and transgender men are not legally considered men. Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling, who has crusaded against the rights of trans people for years, celebrated on X with a picture of herself smoking and drinking. "I love it when a plan comes together."

People had a lot to say about that. Actor Pedro Pascal, who's sister Lux is a trans woman, had one of the most memeable reactions when he called Rowling's tweet an example of "heinous loser behavior." Obviously that went viral, which led to a whole new round of reactions. Speaking to Vanity Fair, he talked through his feelings, saying he briefly felt like “that kid that got sent to the principal’s office a lot for behavioral issues in public schools feeling scared and thinking,...

Bridgerton’s Daphne Is the Least Interesting Despite Being a Diamond
Image
When it comes to Netflix’s Bridgerton, there is no shortage of interesting, well-developed characters, be it the dashing Jonathan Bailey’s Viscount Anthony or Nicola Coughlan’s Penelope Featherington. But not all of these characters have managed to spark the same appeal as others, and one main character that falls rather flat is Phoebe Dynevor’s Daphne Bridgerton, aka the Diamond of the first season.

In the season debut of the Netflix series, Daphne is crowned the ‘diamond of the season’—a title reserved for the most flawless, desirable debutante in London’s high society. But while she fits the aesthetic and social expectations to a tee, Daphne ends up being the least compelling character in the series.

Pedro Pascal Called Out J.K. Rowling’s ‘Heinous Loser Behavior’ Over Anti-Trans Law Because ‘Bullies Make Me F—ing Sick’: ‘I Want to Protect the People I Love’
Image
Pedro Pascal said in a new Vanity Fair cover story that “bullies make me fucking sick” when the topic of J.K. Rowling was brought up. The “Harry Potter” author has regularly courted controversy since 2020 for sharing anti-trans views on social media. Pascal’s younger sister, Lux, came out as transgender in 2021. The actor made headlines in late April for slamming Rowling’s “heinous loser behavior” after she celebrated the U.K. Supreme Court’s anti-trans ruling that transgender women are not legally considered women and transgender men are not legally considered men.

Pascal’s other sister, Javiera, defended her brother’s comment, telling Vanity Fair: “But it is heinous loser behavior. And he said that as the older brother to someone saying that our little sister doesn’t exist.”

As the comment went viral across social media, Pascal said he briefly felt like “that kid that got sent to the...

Bridgerton Season 4 Filming Wrap Announced In BTS Video With A Penelope Detail That Has Fans Excited
Image
Netflix has celebrated Bridgerton season 4's production wrap with a new BTS video, featuring a blink-and-you'll miss-it detail about Penelope's continued role in the story. Bridgerton season 4 will finally put second son Benedict (Luke Thompson) in the romantic spotlight, as he falls in love with a mysterious masked woman at his mother's famous masquerade ball. Though Benedict and his Cinderella-esque love, Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha), will be the biggest focus of Bridgerton's and London's upcoming season, the rest of the Bridgerton clan will still have their parts to play, too.

This includes Nicola Coughlan's Penelope, who found her happy ending with Benedict's younger brother, Colin (Luke Newton), in Bridgerton season 3. The Bridgerton season 4 BTS wrap video shows nearly all the show's major cast members, including newcomers like Yerin Ha, Michelle Mao, Isabella Wei, Katie Leung, and Masali Baduza, changing from their elaborate Regency-era costumes into their present-day (and infinitely more comfortable) clothes.

Jonathan Bailey's Bridgerton Season 4 Update Seemingly Confirms One Major Show Change From Benedict's Book
Image
Bridgerton star Jonathan Bailey has potentially confirmed the show's upcoming season will include a major relationship milestone that was missing from Benedict's original story. Second son Benedict's (Luke Thompson) world is about to be turned upside down, as he falls in love with a Cinderella-like mystery woman, Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha), at his mother's masquerade ball. As ever, though, Bridgerton season 4 will feature the various members of the Bridgerton family, including Bailey's Viscount, Anthony Bridgerton, and his wife, Kate, the Viscountess (Simone Ashley).

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Bailey confirmed that he was happy to return to Bridgerton for as long as they'll have him, a welcome piece of news considering Daphne Bridgerton's (Phoebe Dynevor) absence from the show in season 3. Bailey explained that he felt a "real sense of brotherly pride" while working on the show and accidentally let slip that he had...

Bridgerton actor Jonathan Bailey confirms he's sticking around for many more seasons
Image
If you were nervous about Jonathan Bailey and his fan-favorite character Anthony Bridgerton not appearing in future seasons of the hit Netflix historical romance, then worry no longer! The actor has made it clear he's not going anywhere, as long as the show keeps calling him back for more. With how much us fans love him, I'd hope the series would continue to do so.

The Bridgerton star recently spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about his time before the drama, teased a little bit of what's to come in season 4 (hint: he confirmed there is a wedding!), and told the news outlet about his successful career following his character's more central storylines in the first two seasons. The great news is that while we are waiting for the fourth season, coming in 2026, Netflix has already renewed the series for seasons 5 and 6. With these updates, Bailey is definitely in it for the long haul.

5 Songs With ‘Bridgerton’ Music Supervisor Justin Kamps
Image
Music supervisor is a job that is part professional music nerd, part aural detective and part crate-digging business affairs exec. 5 Songs is a Deadline series that highlights the work of these below the line workers through songs and stories.

Bridgerton’s third season finds Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) as she’s finally given up her crush on Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) after hearing him disparage her to his friends last season. Instead, she’s focusing on finding a husband who will respect her independence so she may continue her double life as Lady Whistledown, away from her mother and sisters. Due to her lack of confidence, however, her search doesn’t go so well.

Meanwhile, Colin is back from his summer travels with a new look and major swagger. He is disheartened to learn that Penelope, the one person who always appreciated him as he was, is giving him the cold shoulder.

Bridgerton’s Best Scene Became Its Curse and the Netflix Gem Hasn’t Recovered Since
Image
Season 2 of Bridgerton gave the audience one of the genre’s most electric love stories in the series so far. The slow-burn romance between Anthony Bridgerton and Kate Sharma has comfortably established its position as one of the best love stories in the Bridgerton franchise.

The season rose to popularity primarily because of the iconic “bane of my existence” scene between Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley. Delivered with an electrifying sense of desperation and urgency by Bailey, the impassioned confession became an instant cult-favorite and a classic Bridgerton reference.

That one Kanthony scene holds so much emotional weight that Season 3, despite strong performances, just failed to live up to the mark. While Colin and Penelope’s romance was no less fulfilling, I’m afraid Kanthony’s chemistry might have set the standards too high.

The Bridgerton scene that set the bar too high

It’s safe to say Anthony Bridgerton...

Bridgerton Season 3: The Slow-Burn Romance Delivers, But Penelope’s Powerful Glow-Up Steals The Show
Image
Penelope Featherington’s Glow-Up Steals The Show & Redefines The Polin Love Story(Photo Credit –Instagram)

I hit play on Bridgerton Season 3, expecting to swoon over the long-awaited Polin payoff. You know, that dreamy, slow-burn friends-to-lovers arc we’d been teased with for two whole seasons. But what I didn’t expect? To find myself absolutely wrecked, emotionally, delightfully, and unapologetically by Penelope Featherington’s transformation.

Sure, the romance was there. Colin and Penelope finally got their moment, and Shonda Rhimes herself said (via NetflixTudum), “We know Colin, we know Pen. We feel this yearning for them to get together.” But as much as I rooted for the ship to sail, it wasn’t their chemistry that shook me. It was Penelope claiming her worth, one citrus-free dress at a time.

Was Penelope’s Glow-Up Really About the Dress Or Her Power?

The glow-up wasn’t just visual, though Nicola Coughlan...

The State of the Race

One of the reasons why “Matlock” star Kathy Bates seems to be in such a good position to win the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, besides having been recognized for her performance at several of the winter awards shows, with wins at the Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards, is that her show is only in its first season.

Sony Pictures Animation’s next theatrical feature “Goat,” is set in a world full of anthropomorphic animals in which the main character (Caleb McLaughlin), an actual goat, dreams of becoming a sports sensation. Yes, that title is pun on the acronym for Greatest Of All Time.
