Dinner parties might be incredibly awkward for many of us, but nobody has ever seen anything quite like the one in Uncork'd Entertainment's new movie The Dinner Party. From writer-director Miles Doleac, the movie tells the tale of the most bizarre dinner party yet, depicting the absolute worst that can happen when attending a private party for dinner with the strangest guests you'll ever meet. The result is a blood-soaked gorefest that's just as hilarious as it is bloody, with The Dinner Party expertly blending dark humor with grotesque savagery.
The Dinner Party follows aspiring playwright Jeff Duncan (Mike Mayhall) and his wife Haley (Alli Hart), as the two attend a private party with the hopes of advancing Jeff's career. When they arrive, they meet an assortment of eccentric party hosts: Sebastian (Sawandi Wilson), Carmine (Bill Sage), Sadie (Lindsay Anne Williams), Agatha (Kamille McCuin), and Vincent (Doleac). Mallrats star Jeremy London...

"How often do you have these dinners?" Historia Films has debuted an official promo trailer for an indie horror film titled The Dinner Party, the latest horror creation from Mississippi native filmmaker / actor Miles Doleac. A budding playwright and his wife attend a dinner party hosted by wealthy, cultural elites, who've promised to bankroll his latest play to Broadway, but, in fact, have darker designs in mind for the couple. Sounds a bit too much like The Invitation, mixed with Ready or Not. This stars Bill Sage, Lindsay Anne Williams, Jeremy London, Mike Mayhall, Alli Hart, Ritchie Montgomery, and Doleac. It looks especially bland, but still might entice a few horror fans. Here's the first festival promo trailer for Miles Doleac's The Dinner Party, direct from YouTube: In the film, written and directed by the Banshee alum, a budding playwright and his wife attend a dinner party hosted by wealthy,...

A troubled, young history professor tries to escape his past by taking a job at a new university, where he struggles with an entrenched and equally-troubled department chair, rampant student apathy, and new relationships that complicate and challenge his world-view.
The Historian is a film that took me a long time to get into. It knows that it is a drama film, and so piles on extra drama. The main problem I found was that it wanted you to feel sorry for its characters and it did this by showing you scene after scene of reasons why you should feel sorry for them. The result is a bunch of characters that are more...

Re-Kill Clip. Valeri Milev‘s Re-Kill (2011) 6-Minute movie clip stars Roger R. Cross and Layke Anderson. Re-Kill‘s plot synopsis: “It’s been 5 years since the outbreak that wiped out 85% of the world’s population, but the war between Re-Animates (Re-Ans) and Humans wages on. Most of the major cities are still uninhabitable. Within the few surviving cities, the Re-Ans have been segregated into “zones” and are policed by the R-Division of the Quasi S.W.A.T. Unit who hunt to re-kill the Re-Ans in the hope of quelling a second outbreak.”
I didn’t pay much attention to this horror movie until I saw this extended movie clip for the film. Not bad.
More on what’s seen in the movie clip:
“R-Division, Frontline” is America’s #1 TV show in this Post-Apocalyptic world. Weekly, the show follows different R-Division units on the battlefield as they work to keep America Safe and Re-An free.

Anneliese van der Pol comes clean about Vampires Suck
Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer are Bigfoot. They are modern day punk rock.
As the immensely successful spoof Vampires Suck heads into its third weekend of release, many people have started to wonder if this directorial team even exists. Or if they are pseudonyms not unlike Alan Smithee, used by the studio as decoys to cover up the fact that no one is actually directing these lucrative, yet artistically questionable endevors.
Sure, there are a couple photos floating around of these two men hard at work on set, but its just two photos! Couldn't they be hired actors pretending to be Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer? This dubious duo never grants interviews. They're never seen in public. No one really knows about their creative process. And they're hardly ever mentioned as Hollywood power players, especially by the folks who have worked with them in the past.
