Exclusive: Clifton Collins Jr. Talks 'Star Trek' and 'The Perfect Game'
In 1957 a group of mostly poor kids from the industrial city of Monterrey, Mexico shocked pundits when they reached the Little League World Series. They had grown up playing baseball on a dirt field, using a handmade ball and gloves fashioned from scraps. Smaller and weighing much less than their opponents, the underdog team was not expected to advance beyond their opening game. But on August 23, 1957 their pitcher Angel Macias pitched what remains the only perfect game in a Little League World Series final, and Monterrey defeated the team from La Mesa, CA, to become the first team from outside the United States to win the Little League World Series.

Movie Jungle has three new clips from Visio Entertainment's family drama "The Perfect Game." The film stars Clifton Collins Jr., Cheech Marin, Moises Arias, Jake T. Austin, Gabriel Morales and Ryan Ochoa. Release is on April 16th in limited areas. William Dear directs from the writing by W. William Winokur. Produced by Daniel de Liege, David Salzberg, W. William Winokur and Christian Tureaud. We now have eight videos available. Living amidst the gritty poverty of 1957 Monterrey, Mexico, a rag–tag group of boys from the wrong side of the tracks discovers the joy of sandlot baseball under the guidance of Cesar, an aspiring Major League Coach thwarted by discrimination. Armed with the dream of playing a real Little League game, the young players defy a total lack of resources, disapproving parents, and widespread prejudice to score their first Little League victory and find themselves at the beginning of a once-in-a-lifetime journey.
