Lee grew up in England but has now lived majority of his life in the United States since he moved to California in 1997.

Lee went on a very strict diet back in September 2023 and has since lost over 90lb, dropping from a size 4XL to XL. He had to buy a whole new wardrobe of clothes.

During the filming of Desert Shadows, Lee had fractured his ankle a few weeks before and had to wear a boot for 6 weeks. He had to get permission from his doctor to film without it and was in pain for most of the shoot.

Originally the director of Desert Shadows wanted Lee for the role of the local man in the bar however Lee was asked to audition for the role of the old man in error. When he sent in his audition, the director loved it so much, he was given the new role.

Lee and his wife own 2 golden retrievers, Lady Marmalade and King Henry the 9th of the Golden Glitter, AKA, Lady and Henry. They also owned another, Sir Brinkley Flopsey Mopsey Cottonball, AKA Brinkey, who passed away from cancer aged 10 in February 2025.

In the movie Sally (2024), when the character Horance is introduced, he's awakened from a deep sleep by being poked with a broom. He responds with the line; "I's got a neurological disorder. Damn near gave me a heart attack." Lee actually does suffer from a neurological disorder. It's a condition that there is no cure for and he is often in pain while filming.
