'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' with Chris Pratt as Chris Pratt Star-Lord a.k.a. Peter Quill and Drax (voice by Dave Bautista): When 'the pressure to be good isn't as intense as the pressure to not be bad.' 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2': Entertaining pop culture references help to alleviate James Gunn's 'weight of obligation' Pull up a chair, gather your friends, and warm up those texting thumbs: the hour is nigh for our biannual ritual of packing ourselves into theaters and watching the ultra-caffeinated exploits of whichever Marvel superheroes we're obligated to obsess over this time. Punishment for non-compliance is harsh; your Facebook feed will be clogged with posts about a topic to which you are indifferent, the modern definition of social pariah. This time, it's Guardians of the Galaxy, a second-tier Marvel property whose refreshingly saucy first film, released in 2014, earned $773 million worldwide.

Earlier this week, Marvel held the first ever press screenings for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and the early reactions are largely positive, although it's not quite a sweeping critical hit. Marvel will be hosting a live stream of the festivities, which you can watch in the video player below, starting at 6 Pm Pt/9 Pm Et.
The live stream will be hosted on Marvel's YouTube page and on Marvel.com, where there will also be a live blog. Marvel has confirmed that stars from the movie who will be appearing are Kurt Russell,...

I've been hearing nothing but great things about this movie from people who I know who have seen it. I have yet to see if for myself, but judging from the buzz spreading, it's going to deliver some insanely blood-soaked entertainment.
We have a red-band clip for you to watch today called "All In My Mind," and it gives you a little tease of the messed-up and disturbing violence that I've heard this film is filled with. It focuses on Sean Gunn's character in the middle of a crazy shootout that he doesn't want to believe is really happening. Check it out:
The Belko Experiment explores a twisted social experiment "in which a group of 80 Americans are locked in their high-rise corporate office in Bogata and ordered by an unknown voice on an intercom system to participate in a deadly game of kill or be killed. It’s not...

Last month, fans got their first real look at The Belko Experiment, the terrifying new workplace thriller which comes from writer James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy) and director Greg McLean (Wolf Creek), with a new red band trailer. While we wait for the next batch of footage to come through, Blumhouse Tilt has dropped the first poster, which teases some of the mayhem that's in store for the fans. The one-sheet even includes a critic's quote, which claims this movie is, "Office Space meets Battle Royale."
The poster was unveiled on Twitter earlier today, showing an unspecified office employee using a bulky tape dispenser to bludgeon one of his co-workers to death. This is not the story of one crazed employee going on an office-wide rampage, but something far more sinister entirely. On what appears to be a normal day at Belko Industries, Belko employees are horrified when they...

Last year, while filmmaker James Gunn was working on the script for his new superhero sequel Guardians of the Galaxy 2, he was also sharing updates on a new film he had written and will produce, entitled The Belko Experiment. The filmmaker revealed that the idea for this story came to him in a dream, and he spent the next two weeks hammering out the script. In March, Australian director Greg McLean (Wolf Creek) came aboard to direct, with production taking place last summer, but we haven't heard anything about the project since then. Earlier today, the Toronto International Film Festival announced that The Belko Experiment will have its world premiere as part of the Midnight Madness section, while the first photos and plot details were unveiled.

While no one outside of the Hall H Guardians Of The Galaxy panel at this year's San Diego Comic-Con will get to see the footage (in HD, at least), director James Gunn was not shy about releasing extra details he revealed. In an extensive Facebook post from Gunn, he pretty much broke down all the big pieces of news he dropped. One of them had to do with Kurt Russell'S Role In The Film, and another had to do with a familiar group of outlaws from the first Guardians Of The Galaxy film, the Ravagers.
When we last saw the gang of bandits, they were led by Yondu, who had let Peter Quill after the latter man didn't give the former man one of the Infinity Stones. Gunn went into greater detail in his post as he described the panel.
"Most were on hand for the Sdcc presentation, disrupting...

Though none of the footage has been released thus far, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 certainly left its stamp on Comic-Con over the weekend, as director James Gunn and his crew invaded Hall H. As they were introducing their cast, the notorious Ravagers hijacked the proceedings. Now, Gunn has released an official image of these scoundrels, revealing who they are. He also left a lengthy Facebook post, answering a few of the lingering questions that arose after this epic Hall H panel.

On Saturday night, the notorious Ravagers, led by their newly appointed leader Taserface, hijacked the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 portion of the Marvel Studios panel and caused trouble for director James Gunn and stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, & Dave Bautista, albeit in hilarious fashion. Earlier this afternoon, Gunn officially introduced the new-and-improved band of space pirates on his personal Instagram. They are as follows starting from the top left and moving in a circle: Brahl (Stephen Blackehart), Oblo (Joe Fria), Scrote, Narblik (Terence Rosemore), Gef the Ravager (Steve Agee), Kraglin (Sean Gunn), Wretch (Evan Jones), Half-Nut (Jimmy Urine), and their loud-mouthed leader Taserface (Chris Sullivan) right smack dab in the center. Amid the announcements for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 at Sdcc – from a slick new logo to the unveiling of Peter Quill’s father – it’s been confirmed that Elizabeth Debicki will play the part of Ayesha.
Word comes by way of Cbm, revealing that the actress best known for The Man From U.N.C.L.E. will hail from the Sovereign in James Gunn’s 2017 sequel.

When quizzed about the origin story behind Debicki’s newcomer, who seeks out the Guardians of the Galaxy following their triumph over Ronan the Accuser, Gunn said: “Ayesha is the golden High Priestess of a genetically-perfect people called the Sovereign. She’s not a woman to be screwed with – she, and her entire world, are extraordinarily deadly.”
Whether this opens up the path for the introduction of one Adam Warlock is still up for question, but we do know...

Hall H played host to a great many presentations yesterday as the industry’s heavy-hitters paraded their wares in front of eager fans. One of those exhibitors was Marvel Studios, setting the stage for James Gunn and Co. to introduce Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
According to Gunn’s comprehensive Facebook post, those in attendance at Hall H were treated to not one, but three rip-roaring clips: “1) A piece from the film featuring Yondu, Rocket, baby Groot, and the Ravagers, 2) A behind-the-scenes featurette of me and the cast working on the forthcoming Guardians attraction at Disneyland, and 3) A special glimpse at a montage of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.”
