“Too Much” follows Jessica (Megan Stalter), an American who moves to London after a devastating breakup and meets Felix (Will Sharpe), a charming British musician — mirroring Dunham’s own experience of meeting her husband, British musician Luis Felber. Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has been indicted on three counts of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution, according to The New York Times.

“He’s going to fight this with all of his energy and all of his might, and the full confidence of his lawyers,” Combs’ attorney Marc Agnifilo said Tuesday (via the Times). “And I expect a long battle with a good result for Mr. Combs.”

After news broke of Kendrick Lamar being chosen to headline the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show in New Orleans, there was much discussion within hip-hop circles about why hometown rapper Lil Wayne wasn’t booked instead. Now, Weezy himself has opened up about the emotional letdown he’s felt since Jay-Z and the NFL made the decision.

“It hurt a whole lot,” Wayne said on Instagram Live, blaming himself for “not being mentally prepared” for a letdown and assuming he would be picked as the Super Bowl Halftime performer. “I thought there was nothing better than that spot and that stage and that platform in my city. Nicki Minaj has criticized Jay-Z for choosing Kendrick Lamar to headline the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show, arguing that the honor should have gone to Lil Wayne, as the game will be played in his hometown of New Orleans.

“Denying a young black man what he rightfully put into this game for no other reason but your ego,” Minaj wrote. “Your hatred for Birdman, Drake & Nicki got you punishing Lil Wayne?!?!!! Lil Wayne!!!!!!!!!! The Goat?!!!!!!!!!!! Nola what’s good?!!!!!!”

In another post, Minaj wrote, “God forbid if Wayne was to leave this earth right now, the culture would be in mourning. That’s why so many ppl keep saying to give our legends their flowers while they are still around to smell them. Sitting around all day playing games with ppl life & legacy.”

Several other associates of Lil Wayne, including Birdman, Master P, Cam’ron, and Mase, also called out Jay-Z over his decision to book Lamar.

The people close to Lil Wayne are making it clear they’re not happy with him not being named the Super Bowl Lix halftime show headliner. Nicki Minaj and Birdman both took to X today to air their gripes with the NFL’s (and presumably Jay-Z’s) decision to have Kendrick Lamar headline the February showcase. While they didn’t explicitly name Jay-Z, who has had a hand in producing Super Bowl halftime shows since 2019, it seems pretty apparent what they’re talking about.

A television adaptation of the book series is in development from Absentia creator Matt Cirulnick, Amazon MGM Studios, Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way Productions, Oakhurst Entertainment and Talaria Media.

Sigma Force is a globe-trotting thriller series centered around a top secret U.S. Government counter terrorist program. The division is made up of Special Forces operatives who leverage expert military and scientific training to handle global counterterrorism efforts and investigate scientific matters that could pose a threat to the United States.

Cirulnick is writing the adaptation and will serve as showrunner/executive producer alongside DiCaprio and Phillip Watson for Appian Way, Marina Grasic for Oakhurst, and Bobby Morgan for Talaria.

Launched in 2004 and published by Harper, the book series consists of 17 novels, all of which are New York Times bestsellers. The series’ 18thinstallment, Arkangel, is set to publish in August.

The Roots Picnic, held yearly in Philadelphia since 2008, is a special kind of music festival. The lineup this year covered a wide spectrum of hip-hop and R&b, plus country, go-go, and more, with the Roots’ own omnivorous musicality as the guiding force. Daily crowds of 30,000 made the pilgrimage to Fairmount Park to soak up the sun and sounds on June 1 and 2. There were surprise guests (Ghostface! Common! Freeway! Lloyd! Longtime New York rapper Cam’ron is explaining his strange CNN appearance this week, where he gave a now-viral non sequitur during an interview in which he was repeatedly asked questions about beleaguered rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Booked for a Newsnight segment that was to have CNN host Abby Phillip discussing the series of lawsuits filed against Combs, which include allegations of sex trafficking, drugging women, sexual misconduct and rape, the rapper who has been on the New York scene since the 1990s told her that he doesn’t know why he was booked for the segment, and then drank a male sexual enhancement drink on air and referenced “getting some cheeks.”

During the segment, Phillip asked him, regarding the controversial video CNN released Friday of rapper-mogul Diddy attacking his then-girlfriend, the artist Cassie, at a Los Angeles hotel in 2016: ”Did you recognize that kind of anger at all, from your experiences?...

CNN was hoping to get a little perspective about Sean Diddy Combs and the newly released video of him attacking a former girlfriend in 2016. Instead, they got a lesson on what happens when bookers don’t fully vet a potential guest.

On Monday, rapper Cam’ron was asked to comment about the hotel surveillance video that shows Combs grabbing, shoving, dragging and kicking his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura at a Los Angeles hotel. At first, Cam’ron appeared to play along, saying he doesn’t support domestic violence and “yeah, I was upset when I seen it.”

But when CNN anchor Abby Phillip pressed Cam’ron about whether he ever experienced such anger when hanging with Combs, the rapper seemed confused by the question.

You don’t have to be a Cam’ron fan to be muttering “Oh Boy” after a recent appearance on CNN, when the veteran Mc took questions about Sean “Diddy” Combs and answered with one of the strangest major media interviews in recent memory.

Anchor Abby Phillip began the segment by asking for Cam’ron’s thoughts on surveillance footage from 2016, recently released, which shows Combs assaulting the recording artist Cassie. Cam’ron called the attack “egregious,” adding, “When I seen the video, yeah, I was kind of upset with it. Being that I know him — he’s not necessarily a friend — but yeah, I was upset when I seen it.”

And that’s when things got weird. When asked, “Did you recognize that kind of anger at all from your experiences [with Diddy]?” Cam’ron expressed irritation. “I seen him. What do you mean my ‘experiences’? I seen him, and I thought it was disgusting.

A CNN interview with Cam’ron went down in flames on Monday night, ending with the rapper asking his team, “Who booked me for this joint?”

Cam’ron, whose full name is Cameron Giles, appeared on Abby Phillip’s NewsNight to discuss the ongoing developments surrounding Sean Diddy Combs, including the newly surfaced security footage of him attacking then-girlfriend Cassie at a Los Angeles hotel in 2016.

At a time when many festival organizers couldn’t survive more than a handful of rounds of “For one dollar, name a woman,” Made in America boasts nearly a dozen. Ice Spice, Coi Leray, Latto, Doechii, Lola Brooke, Tems, Coco Jones, TiaCorine, and Tanerélle will all take the stage.

Made in America has announced its 2023 lineup will be headlined by Sza and Lizzo. The two-day festival is returning to Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia and will go down on September 2nd and 3rd.

Festival attendees can also look forward to performances from the likes of Latto, Lil Yachty, Ice Spice, Metro Boomin, Miguel, Tems, Doechii, Lola Brooke, Paris Texas, Coi Leray, Coco Jones, TiaCorine, and more. Plus, there will be a “very special” joint set from veteran Harlem rappers Mase and Cam’ron. See the full lineup below.

A general admission two-day pass will run you $200 plus roughly $42 in fees, with a VIP tier available for $750 and $85 in fees. Tickets are now on sale here.

Made in America was founded by Jay-Z in 2012 as a Roc Nation event. Last year’s festival was headlined by Bad Bunny and Tyler, the Creator.

Almost a decade after teasing their since-unreleased Federal Reserve EP, Cam’ron and A-Track have delivered their first joint effort since their 2014 hit single “Dipshits.” The New York rapper and celebrated producer’s new song, “All I Ever Wanted” appears on the pair’s upcoming album U Wasn’t There.

The track, produced by A-Trak, Beautiful Lou, & G Koop, marks Cam’ron’s first solo feature since 2019 and details his rise from a young basketball player growing up on streets of Harlem to one of the most elusive names in hip-hop.

Showtime Sports Documentary Films is extending its partnership with NBA superstar Kevin Durant and his business partner Rich Kleiman’s Boardroom for a documentary called “NYC Point Gods,” which will showcase iconic point guards from New York City who left an indelible mark on the game and pop culture throughout the 1980s and ’90s.

The film will delve into how the Big Apple has long been an epicenter for game-changing basketball talent that inspired American culture beyond the sport.

“NYC Point Gods” will showcase a roster of New York City point guard legends including Rafer Alston, Kenny Anderson, Mark Jackson, Stephon Marbury, God Shammgod, Kenny Smith, Rod Strickland and Dwayne “Pearl” Washington. The documentary aims to highlight how these players excelled in the game, but also brought a style that would echo all the way up to the sport’s present day.

Yessss! Showtime has set a summer premiere date for NYC Point Gods, a feature-length documentary on the enduring impact of New York City point guards who honed their craft on the city’s playgrounds and high school gyms in the 1980s and ’90s.
