- Stefan Gjorgievski is a cinematographer from Bitola, Macedonia, the home of the prestigious Cinematographer's Film Festival "Manaki Brothers". He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in Film and TV Cinematography at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts - Skopje, where he now works as an assistant professor in the Cinematography program. Gjorgievski's visual approach is marked by atmospheric depth, blending naturalistic light with stylized compositions to evoke emotional and psychological nuance. His lighting often feels organic yet expressionistic, creating visuals that are grounded in reality but heightened in mood and tone. His images draw viewers into spaces where emotion and meaning emerge, carefully lit and framed to reflect the inner world of the characters and the arc of the story, guided by a personal visual sensibility that continues to evolve with each project. His notable work, the short film Mavera (2023), received a special mention for cinematography at the "Manaki Brothers" festival, awarded by the head of the jury, cinematographer Peter Bijou and won the "Danco Cevreski" award at the "Dzirni Film Festival". Stefan is in early pre-production for the short film The Big Night, selected as part of Midpoint Shorts 2022-2023 and supported by the North Macedonia Film Agency. In 2024, he participated in Sarajevo Talents - Camera Studio during the Sarajevo Film Festival.
