Biography

Katie Garibaldi is an independent music supervisor for film and media, specializing in song licensing and score supervision for film. Her most recent portfolio includes supervising music for Paramount Pictures' feature film Depravity (starring Victoria Justice, Taylor Smith, and Dermot Mulroney), placing tracks through Sony Music Publishing and Universal Music Enterprises. Other recent work includes soundtrack supervision for The King's Daughter (starring Pierce Brosnan, William Hurt, and Kaya Scodelario), and song licensing for a range of upcoming independent films utilizing major publishers such as Kobalt, Sony, and more.

An award-winning artist herself, Katie has an extensive background in music, having released multiple albums and toured nationally as a singer/songwriter and guitar player. Her music videos and self written/directed short film This and That have garnered international acclaim on the film festival circuit, earning over 150 awards throughout her career, and underscoring her deep understanding of the interplay between music and visual storytelling.

Under her company Owl At The Moon Creative, in addition to handling all aspects of sync licensing and negotiations, Katie has worked directly with composers and songwriters to create custom scores and songs for productions. She also has experience advising in post-production sound mixing to ensure a project's music, dialogue, and sound design are all working in tandem with the filmmaker's vision.
