Biography

    • Turkish actor, playwright, and journalist. Ucuncu began his career in 2002 in Istanbul's Cagaloglu district, where he worked as a reporter for various newspapers. His passion for theater led him to join Gugulumdakiler Tiyatrosu in 2010, marking the start of his professional acting journey. He is known for pioneering the Önce-bahçe "Chaos Theater" concept, which emphasizes spontaneity, audience interaction, and improvisation.

Throughout his career, Ucuncu has performed in numerous plays, including Biz Bunu Hic Düsünmedik (2010), Kanli Gömlek (2016), and Elveda Alfredo (2018). His theatrical works often challenge traditional structures, creating a dynamic and unpredictable experience for the audience. He has also contributed to the cultural scene by bringing theater to rural areas, performing over a thousand shows for children in villages and schools as part of social responsibility projects.

In addition to his work in theater, Sukru Ucuncu has appeared in various films and television series. Notable screen credits include Seni Seven Ölsün, Sümela'nin Sifresi Cünyor Temel, Kuzey Yildizi Ilk Ask, and Sen Anlat Karadeniz. His first on-screen appearance was in a commercial for Ziraat Bank, produced by Jaguar Medya.

Ucuncu is also an accomplished journalist, having received several awards, such as the "Photo of the Year" from the Turkey Journalists Association and the "News of the Year" from the Contemporary Journalists Association. He has authored several books, including Yali Cetesi, Faili Firar, Sira Disi Hastalar, Göklerin Kadini Irima, and Ne Ben Sairdim Ne ile ilgili Bu Siir Kitabi, the latter serving as a protest against contemporary poets.

Apart from his artistic and journalistic endeavors, he served as Vice President, board member, and coach for the Turkey Wushu Federation between 2010 and 2019, demonstrating his commitment to promoting sports as well as culture. He also founded Turkey's fourth press museum in Trabzon.
