Born June 6, 2007, Abriella Ruby has always had a passion for performing, whether it's dance, musicals, or film. The youngest of three, Abriella used to torture her big brothers by forcing them to dress up in costumes and act in whatever play she happened to be putting on. As she grew older, she poured all of her energy into dance, voice, and acting, with visions of Broadway dancing in her head. Outside of theatrical pursuits, she loves martial arts, reading, and creating comedic parodies of some of her favorite songs.
Abriella has played many roles, in both film and theatre, that she loved - for example, the lead role of Addie in "You're It," and the role of Young Dani in "The Angry Man." Her favorite role of all time, however, was Matilda in the regional premiere of "Matilda." Like Matilda, Abriella is a fiercely independent young woman, always looking to do what's right, and always looking for ways to help others.
At the age of twelve, Abriella started a group called "Love Conquers Dayton." Her goal was to put together a few care packs for the homeless in her city, and hand them out one afternoon. Her efforts grew, however, and she ended up raising over $23,000 in donations and handing out about 400 care packs that first year. She continues to help the homeless in her community, giving away food and care packs whenever the need arises. She felt extremely blessed that her efforts to help others were recognized by Good Morning America, as she was invited to be a guest on the show (and was also surprised by two of her favorite actresses, Allison Janney and Jessica Vosk).
When asked what she would wish for if a genie appeared and offered her just one wish, she is quick to answer, "I would wish for an audition every single day for the rest of my life!" Rather than wish for instant success, she loves the process and is just excited to get to spend her days growing and learning as an actress.
