Image
The International Women’s Podcast Awards, a unique event celebrating the very best moments in podcasting created by women and non-binary folk, has announced their winners for 2022. The awards recognise the work of women and non-binary people in podcasting, both behind the mic and behind the scenes, who have created incredible audio moments and intimate listening experiences.

The 2022 International Women’s Podcast Awards was hosted at The Conduit in London by acclaimed comedian, podcaster and writer, Deborah Frances-White, whose own podcast The Guilty Feminist has had more than 95 million downloads worldwide. 180 guests were present in London for the event, with nominees attending from as far afield as Los Angeles, Israel, Zambia and Switzerland. A wider global audience watched via a livestream from The Conduit, giving the awards a truly international reach.

Naomi Mellor, founder of the International Women’s Podcast Awards, said:

Bizarre and banal TV show complaints made to the BBC
facebook

twitter

google+

Yes, it’s annoying when the UK weather is rubbish, but is it really grounds to lodge a complaint with the BBC?

Imagine you’ve been wronged by a TV show. Some inaccuracy, or omission, or annoyance has caused the irksome weevil of discontent to crawl through your television and burrow underneath your skin. You can’t rid of it. After days of muttering under your breath and scribbling beards and fangs all over the Radio Times, it’s still there. Nothing will soothe you. You're left with only one choice.

It’s time to lodge a complaint.

A trawl through the...

Bruce Willis Does Another Awkward Interview ... in a Bathrobe (Video)
Bruce Willis is really letting himself go.

The star seems to have completely given up on promoting his latest movie, "Red 2." First, he checked out of a British radio interview, telling the host, "This part is not acting, what we're doing right now ... We're just selling the film now. Sales."

And now he's gone and done an even weirder press op for the British morning show "Daybreak," sitting down with host Kate Garraway while dressed in a white bathrobe. (Does Willis just not like the United Kingdom?)

To be fair, the bathrobe was over a nice dress shirt and slacks. Maybe Willis spilled coffee on himself just before the interview? We'll never know, as he never addresses his unusual attire during the sit-down. He is much more pleasant on "Daybreak" than on the radio show, though his answers are slow and somewhat rambling.

Garraway manages to keep herself together (even though,...

Phillips 'in talks for This Morning cover'
GMTV (1993)
Former GMTV presenter Fiona Phillips is reportedly in the running to fill in for Holly Willoughby on This Morning when she takes maternity leave. The presenter is due to give birth to a baby girl in May. The Mirror claims that Phillips and former GMTV newsreader Helen Fospero have both held talks with show bosses about standing in for Willoughby alongside Phillip Schofield. Ruth Langsford, who presents the Friday edition of the ITV magazine show with husband Eamonn Holmes, is also believed to have discussed filling the role. "There is (more)...
