The long-awaited Terminal List prequel series will arrive on Prime Video before summer’s end.

Amazon on Thursday released a trailer for The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, which begins streaming Aug. 27. Three episodes will drop on premiere day, followed by one new episode every Wednesday through Sept. 24.

Exclusive: Prime Video’s new Muhammad Ali limited series The Greatest continues casting as production is underway in Toronto. Giovanni Ribisi (Strange Darling, Saving Private Ryan), Reno Wilson, Erica Tazel, and Aleks Paunovic have been cast in recurring roles.

The eight-episode series from Ben Watkins (Cross) will feature defining moments in Ali’s life and career, both in and out of the ring, that have been well documented, and moments that took place outside the spotlight. The world remembers an icon, but The Greatest is about a man, a husband, a father, a brother, and a son.

Jaalen Best leads the cast, portraying Ali, the boxing legend, in a series-regular role. Rounding out the leading cast are Omari Hardwick and Dana Gourrier, who will star as Cassius “Cash” Clay Sr. and his wife Odessa “Bird” Clay, respectively, parents of Muhammad Ali and Rudy Clay.

The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, the long-awaited prequel to the Chris Pratt action series, has been officially revealed by Prime Video. The upcoming series will see Taylor Kitsch at the forefront as Navy Seal Ben Edwards, while Pratt will reprise his starring role as James Reece.

Prime Video announced that The Terminal List: Dark Wolf will premiere on the streaming platform with three episodes on Aug. 27, 2025. The subsequent episodes will be released weekly until Sept. 24. We’re getting a first look at Prime Video’s The Terminal List: Dark Wolf prequel series, starring Taylor Kitsch and Chris Pratt. The streamer released several first-look photos of the action-drama, which you can view above and below, and announced it will premiere August 27, exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. It will launch with the first three episodes, followed by new episodes weekly, leading up to the season finale on Wednesday, September 24.

Co-created by The Terminal List author Jack Carr, and Season 1 creator-showrunner David Digilio, the origin series follows Ben Edwards (Kitsch) throughout his journey from the Navy SEALs to the clandestine side of CIA Special Operations, exploring the darker side of warfare and the human cost that comes with it. On May 29, Amazon announced that The Terminal List: Dark Wolf will premiere on Wednesday, Aug. 27 on Prime Video with the first three episodes of the season. The prequel “The Terminal List: Dark Wolf” has officially set its Amazon Prime Video premiere date.

The show will debut with its first three episodes on Aug. 27, followed by new episodes weekly until the season finale on Sept. 24. Prime Video has also released first-look photos from the show, which can be seen below.

“Dark Wolf” is set in the years prior to “The Terminal List” and tells the origin story of Ben Edwards (Taylor Kitsch). Chris Pratt reprises his role as James Reece in the series, with other cast members including Tom Hopper, Robert Wisdom, Luke Hemsworth, Dar Salim, Rona-Lee Shimon, Shiraz Tzarfati, and Jared Shaw.

“Dark Wolf” will premiere nearly three years after the launch of “The Terminal List” Season 1. The latter show was renewed for a second season in early 2023, with that season going into production earlier this year.

The Terminal List became an instant hit for Prime Video when it debuted back in 2022. Following the murder of his wife and daughter after a covert mission gone wrong, Navy Seal Lieutenant Commander James Reece (Chris Pratt) set out for revenge against those who killed his family. Over the course of the first season, Reece exacts revenge with the help of his friend and former teammate Ben Edwards (Taylor Kitsch). By the end of the first season, Edwards admitted his involvement with the botched mission and his part in the conspiracy. Reece then kills Edwards. Dark Wolf is a prequel to The Terminal List and follows Edwards during his time as a soldier.

Prime Video has ordered a TV adaptation of the hit 2002 comedy “Barbershop,” with one of the film’s original co-writers attached, Amazon announced ahead of its upfront presentation on Monday.

Promise, a generative AI studio led by three notable tech and industry figures, has launched with backing from Peter Chernin’s The North Road Company and venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz.

Hulu has no doubt about the future of its legal drama, Reasonable Doubt, as the streamer just renewed the series for a third season. The Kerry Washington-produced show has been a low-key hit since it debuted in 2022, so it's not surprising to see it getting another installment. Some fans, however, were unsure about its fate, as its second season concluded almost a month ago.

But there are no objections, as far as The Hollywood Reporter can tell, to this show returning to court.

The well-reviewed (and received) series came to Hulu from the Onyx Collective, with executive producers Kerry Washington, Pilar Savone, Larry Wilmore, and Anton Cropper. Creator and showrunner Raamla Mohamed also serves as an executive producer. Mohamed was also a former writer on Scandal the show that made Washington a household name. The series has a 100% fresh rating for both seasons on Rotten Tomatoes.

What Is 'Reasonable Doubt' About?...

Over the years, there have been many TV shows that never really got the chance to shine but have since gained a strong following of dedicated fans despite getting only one season and as few as seven episodes. These series made such a strong impact on viewers that they continue to accrue new fans all the time sometimes decades later.

The best shows tend to be ahead of their time, tackling significant themes in relatable and meaningful ways. Some shows were smart, clever, and well-received by fans and critics alike, but it still wasn't enough to spare them from the axe. Certain studios have become notorious for canceling quality television. While the particulars of each cancelation vary, they are always devastating to fans.

Michael Ealy’s Reasonable Doubt character Damon Cooke seemingly rose from the dead in the Hulu legal drama’s season two finale. But his return was, as it turned out, only in the mind of series lead Jax Stewart (Emayatzy Corinealdi), who found herself playing an internal blame game when the realities of Lewis (McKinley Freeman) having a baby with another woman began to set in.

Jax’s train of thought isn’t totally off track, as her affair with Damon, as well as with a former co-worker, were the catalyst for the couple separating and Lewis sleeping with Toni (Tristan Cunningham), who loses their baby after going into labor early in the season two finale. At the end of season one, Jax’s romance with Damon took a dark turn when his possessiveness led him to kidnap the defense attorney and later commit suicide when authorities arrived to rescue her.

At that point, the young Tariq didn’t even know his father was himself a kingpin known on the streets as Ghost (Hardwick). And that his mother also knew. Michael Rainey Jr. was just a few months from turning 14. Now a decade later, just over a week after turning 24, he’s closed out another series.

When Power Book II: Ghost premiered Sept. 6, 2020, the pandemic had put the whole country and world on a life-turning timeout.

Power Book II: Ghost has wrapped on Starz, but Tariq’s story could continue. Rumors of a possible spin-off have been floating around for some time now, and staR Michael Rainey Jr. addressed those rumors in a new interview with Deadline.

Power Book II: Ghost season four powered its way to a new viewership record on Starz. The network reports that the critically acclaimed drama averaged 10.5 million multiple-platform viewers 90 days post-premiere. In addition, season four episode eight showed a 6% increase over episode seven and took the #1 spot among cable programs in Black households in four major cities.

The season’s final two episodes will air on September 27th and October 4th.

The final season of Power Book II: Ghost will go down as the most watched show ever on Starz.

The drama, which is headed toward its series finale on Oct. 4, is averaging 10.5 million viewers across all platforms, measured for 90 days post-premiere. (Several years ago, Starz noted that season five of Ghost’s predecessor, Power, averaged 10.8 million viewers, but over a longer span of time than 90 days.)

The Power franchise, which encompasses four series, has set a number of ratings records for Starz. The flagship series displaced Spartacus as Starz’s most watched show at the time back in 2015 and continued to roll up big audiences over the course of its run. Ghost, Book III: Raising Kanan and Book IV: Force — which notched the biggest opening weekend for any series premiere in the channel’s history — have also pulled in strong viewing numbers over their runs.

Power Book II: Ghost has scored a record audience at Starz ahead of the anticipated Season 4 finale.

The new season is averaging 10.5M multi-platform viewers per episode in the first 90 days since Season 4 premiered, according to data from the network. That’s an all-time high for the series.

Episode 8, which aired on September 20, delivered 6% audience growth week-over-week in the three days post-premiere, Starz said.

The series continues to index well with Black households, as Episode 8 was the top cable program among the demographic in key markets like Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Chicago and Los Angeles.

In fact, Season 4 Part 1 and 2 both debuted as the highest-rated cable program among Black households in their respective premiere weekends.

To date, the Power universe has amassed 1.6B hours watched, Starz said.

It’s the beginning of the end for Season 4, with the two-part finale kicking off September 27 at midnight Et on the Starz app and via linear at 8 p.

A half-dozen showbiz figures, each of whom hails from a marginalized community within America, have recorded a public service announcement that is launching on Tuesday — which is National Voter Registration Day, and exactly seven weeks to the day from the 2024 presidential election — calling upon their fellow Americans to register to vote.

Melissa Gilbert is set to guest star in a two-episode arc on Season 12 of the long-running series When Calls the Heart, set to premiere on the Hallmark Channel next year. The news was shared with those who gathered at the show’s annual Hearties Family Reunion fan event in Vancouver, Canada.

Gilbert will portray Georgie McGill, who “shares a surprising past with one special Hope Valley resident,” per the announcement description. As a universe, Power has always been at its best when its varied plot points, as convoluted as they may be, coalesce and have all the characters together, whether they’re working against one another or something bigger than them.

While I may have lamented the emphasis on Carter and his crew during Power Book II: Ghost Season 4 Episode 6, it all paid off here when they were in a much-diminished role, and Carter’s grandiose plan to eradicate violent crime by “owning” criminals all over the city slowly started to crumble.
