Project Angel Food’s Lead with Love: LA Strong telethon Saturday raised nearly $722,000 for the meal delivery organization.

The two-hour telecast on Ktla, hosted by Eric McCormack, Jessica Holmes, Loni Love and “RuPaul’s Drag Race” star Bianca Del Rio, centered on resilience in the wake of the devastating wildfires that ravaged parts of Los Angeles in January.

Founded in 1989, Project Angel Food prepares and delivers 1.5 million meals annually to more than 6,240 critically ill individuals in Los Angeles County.

In a pre-recorded message for the telethon, Barbra Streisand said, “We can lift people up. We can lead with love. … Ensuring everyone living with HIV/AIDS knows we are with them, no matter what — there is a place for them.”

The Television Academy revealed the nominations for the 77th Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards, recognizing 111 nominees across 31 categories that spotlight the best in locally produced television, from arts and culture to crime, environment and public affairs.

The awards will be presented Saturday, July 26, at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles. The ceremony will be hosted by Kelvin Washington, anchor and host for Spectrum News 1.

The Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards celebrate excellence in programming produced for the Los Angeles region.

Among this year’s nominees are several standout programs from PBS SoCal, Kmex-tv, KTLA5, Kvea, ABC7, and others that highlight Southern California’s diverse storytelling and journalism.

Project Angel Food provides home delivery meals to critically ill people throughout Los Angeles County. This year’s telethon will focus on neighborhoods impacted by the January wildfires.

The National Hockey League (NHL) has set the date for the 2025 Stanley Pup, its second annual friendly competition featuring adorable rescue dogs.

For the 2025 edition, all 32 NHL teams will be represented by a four-legged friend, many of whom will be available for adoption from a shelter or rescue in their respective city.

“The American Rescue Dog Show” has added Paula Abdul, Leslie Jordan and Yvette Nicole Brown as celebrity “ex-paw-t” judges, ABC announced Thursday.

The show features rescued pups from around the country as they “strut their fluff” and compete for a series of titles, including best in underbite, best in snoring, best in belly rubs and more. For each winning dog in the seven categories, a 10,000 donation will be made by Petco Love to a local animal welfare organization. Each category winner will compete for the title of best in rescue, which will culminate in a 100,000 donation.

Comedian Sheryl Underwood (The Talk) is set as host, along with Carson Kressley (RuPaul’s Drag Race) and Soolip founder Wanda Wen as judges. With its 5th annual “Scream Awards” only weeks away, Spike TV is building momentum for its latest incarnation “Scream 2010.” At the beginning of the month, the show announced its nominees. Today, Spike has revealed that “Scream 2010″ will feature world premiere footage from Scream 4, Paranormal Activity 2, and The Rite. In case that isn’t compelling enough television for Spike to earn your rating points, the awards ceremony is also set to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Back to the Future with guest appearances from cast members including Michael J. Fox, Lea Thompson, and Elisabeth Shue. Other confirmed attendees include Wes Craven, Aaron Eckhart, and Sigourney Weaver.

Two vampire sagas thrived on the night of Scream 2009, the first and only event honoring the best in fantasy, sci-fi, comics and horror. Spike TV has just announced that a new trailer for highly anticipated vampire drama movie "The Twilight Saga's New Moon" is going to be debuted during 2009 Scream Awards. The flick's leading actors, including Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner, have been slated to take the stage to premiere the footage at the event.

4th Annual Scream Awards will be kicked off on Tuesday, October 27 at 10:00 P.M. Et/Pt. The event, which was created by the TV cable channel's executive producers, Michael Levitt, Cindy Levitt, and Casey Patterson, is held to honor horror, sci-fi, and fantasy genres of feature films.

According to HorrorMovies.ca, this year's event will feature appearances from the cast of "True Blood", such as Anna Paquin, Alexander Skarsgard, Stephen Moyer, and Sam Trammell. The show's creator, Alan Ball, is also expected to come to the event.

Bravo has inked Kathy Griffin to a one-year deal that includes hosting duties for a second time at the A-List Awards, two comedy specials and, as previously announced, a fifth-season pickup of "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List."

"D-List" goes into production in January, with Michael Levitt Prods. and Picture This Television producing.

The two hourlong specials will feature Griffin on her current nationwide tour.

Happy Days star Henry Winkler is hoping to convince the stars of hit 1970s TV show Charlie's Angels to reunite for a 30th anniversary special later this year. Winkler and his production partner Michael Levitt have already gathered the casts of Happy Days, Dallas, Knots Landing and Dynasty for recent reunion specials. The pair hope to convince original Angels Farrah Fawcett, Jaclyn Smith and Kate Jackson to sign on for the show. Producers have been in touch with all three actresses, but their appearances have not been officially confirmed. John Forsythe has agreed to voice never-before-seen detective agency owner Charlie Townsend, as he did through the series' 1976-1981 run. Cheryl Ladd, who joined the show as Jill Munroe's kid sister Kris, has already agreed to appear on the show. Her publicist Jay D. Schwartz says, "Cheryl is looking forward to having a blast." David Doyle, who played Bosley on the show, died in 1997.

Spike TV is set to bow an awards-show franchise devoted to the booming horror/science fiction genre. The Viacom-owned cable network is working on Scream 2006, which likely will air in October. Scream is scouting Los Angeles locations to shoot the event in September. "There is so much to celebrate when you look to recent boxoffice successes from 'Silent Hill' and 'Scary Movie 4' to television's 'Lost, ' " said Casey Patterson, senior vp event production and talent development at Spike TV and executive producer/co-creator of Scream with Michael Levitt and Cindy Levitt.
