Ted Lasso Season 4 Theory: I’m Starting to Fear What’s Coming for AFC Richmond
Image
Ted Lasso season 4 is currently in production, and casting calls for various extras have already gone out. With Kansas City seemingly the main filming hub for now, the fandom has been rife with speculation about the plotline. They are especially interested in seeing what will happen to AFC Richmond now that Jason Sudeikis’ optimistic coach has departed the club.

The bond between Ted Lasso and the club has always been the heart of the show. Lasso’s journey with the players, as well as Rebecca and Keeley, has defined what vulnerability and belief in oneself mean. But with Ted Lasso season 4 confirmed to be about the titular good-hearted coach training a second division women’s team, one has to wonder if AFC Richmond will fall to ruins without Ted.

Lasso’s departure at the end of season 3 wasn’t surprising to the fans who always knew that he would eventually...

‘Ted Lasso’ Stars Surprise Fans Onstage at Mumford & Sons Concert | Video
Image
“Ted Lasso” is coming back — but the Richmond crew isn’t in England anymore. As Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple and Brendan Hunt began filming for the fourth season of the Apple TV+ series in Kansas City, the group stopped by a Mumford & Sons concert to help sing their theme song.

Marcus Mumford of Mumford & Sons co-created the theme song for the show alongside Tom Howe. The concert took place on July 24 at the Azura Amphitheater in Bonner Springs — a suburb of Kansas City.

During the concert, the band performed a full version of the “Ted Lasso” theme (only a brief section of it plays in the show’s opening credits). At this point, Sudeikis, Waddingham, Temple and Hunt took the stage, dancing and singing along.

“Mumford & Sons performing the Ted Lasso theme song Live with the crew of Ted Lasso in #Kc #tedlasso” user @JillianC_arroll shared on X.

‘Stick’ Is Missing One Key Ingredient That Made ‘Ted Lasso’ a Global Hit
Image
Apple TV+’s Stick was highly anticipated. After all, it was about golf, and it starred Owen Wilson as a washed-up golfer mentoring a reluctant teen prodigy. Viewers expected it to be the next Ted Lasso or Happy Gilmore. It turned out to be neither. After watching season 1, viewers have complained of unlikable characters with no redeeming characteristics and a lack of good chemistry between the cast.

These are the things that Jason Sudeikis’s Ted Lasso got right. The soccer-based show has a simple plot that manages to incorporate contrasting characters and their dynamics with each other. Most importantly, none of the core characters are unlikeable even while they grow and change.

The team as a whole has great chemistry, which makes the show always enjoyable to watch, even when the plot itself feels wonky. Stick, by all these yardsticks, fails to create that same emotional glue that would...

‘Ted Lasso’ Season 4: Juno Temple & Brendan Hunt Return; New Cast Includes Tanya Reynolds, Faye Marsay & Ted’s Son; Photo Marks Start Of Filming
Image
Filming has kicked off on the long-awaited fourth season of Apple TV+’s hit comedy Ted Lasso, co-created, executive produced and starring Jason Sudeikis and produced by Warner Bros TV. Original cast members Juno Temple and Brendan Hunt have closed their deals to return, joining Sudeikis as well as Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein and Jeremy Swift, whose options were picked up last August, kicking off the show’s comeback. The sextet are believed to have three-year pacts, corroborating the speculation that Sudeikis has a new three-season arc in mind for Ted Lasso‘s new chapter.

Grant Feely, who played young Luke Skywalker in the Lucasfilm/Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi, is taking over the role of Ted’s son Henry in a recasting. The part is heavily recurring with an option to become a series regular next season, sources said. Other new cast members — all series regulars — include Tanya Reynolds (Sex...

‘Ted Lasso’ Sets Return of 4 Beloved Characters and One Recasting as Season 4 Starts Filming
Image
“Ted Lasso” is officially back in production for its anticipated fourth season, with a mixed back of new and returning characters recruited for the coach’s latest adventure.

Along with star and creator Jason Sudeikis, the Apple TV+ comedy series set the return of Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt and Jeremy Swift as filming kicked off Monday in Kansas City. Additional photography will pick up later on in London. A big change in the show’s roster comes in the recasting of Ted’s son Henry, with Grant Feely taking over the role from Gus Turner.

Season 4 follows Ted’s return to Richmond, where he is set to take on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women’s football team.

“Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would,” the logline states.

‘Ted Lasso’ Kicks Back Into Gear With Key Returnees, New Cast for Season 4
Image
The fourth season of Ted Lasso is underway, with filming beginning Monday and the core of the show’s cast returning. Several actors have also joined the Apple TV+ series, which will find its title character (Jason Sudeikis) taking on the coaching of a women’s soccer team.

After a long period of speculation about the show’s future following its third season finale in May 2023, Apple officially ordered a fourth season in March. Sudeikis was the only castmember that Apple would confirm at that time, but producer Warner Bros. TV had previously picked up options for Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein and Jeremy Swift, who play, respectively, AFC Richmond owner Rebecca Welton, player turned assistant coach Roy Kent and Leslie Higgins, Rebecca’s right-hand man at the club. All three are returning, as are Juno Temple (Keeley Jones) and Brendan Hunt (Coach Beard), who at the time of the season...

Five Rom-Com Easter Eggs Later, I’m Completely  in Love With ‘Ted Lasso’ Again
Image
Ted Lasso is a show that manages to be hilarious and heartwarming. The show about being good has been hailed as too simplistic by many, but it has layers of emotional depth. Additionally, the show also doesn’t shy away from paying homage to films and shows that have shaped the zeitgeist. Season 2’s episode, Rainbow, added some rom-com magic to the football storyline to improve the emotional arcs of the characters.

From Notting Hill to Pretty Woman, Ted Lasso has borrowed visual motifs, musical cues, and iconic lines to create subtle love letters to rom-coms. Thankfully, it all works to make the viewer fall more in love with the characters. Also, it helps that these easter eggs are all smartly incorporated into the characters’ emotional arcs. So, let us break down these easter eggs.

I Rewatched Ted Lasso and Can’t Believe This Scene Actually Made It to the Final Cut
Image
Recently, I re-watched Ted Lasso to brush up on the lore and prepare myself for the upcoming season. One thing that I stuck out like a sore thumb that I did not realize the first time was when, in Season 2, Episode 7, titled “Headspace,” Nate kisses Keeley. It was a shocking scene that I was surprised to see in the final cut!

Even Reddit threads made it weirder for me to analyse the scene. This became a notable scene that has gone around and become a point of discussion. Both the characters had their space and situations, but what is more to see through is the fact that Keeley is already Roy’s girlfriend at this point, not to mention the issue of consent.

Jason Sudeikis’ Ex-Girlfriend Helped Shape One of ‘Ted Lasso’s Fiercest Characters
Image
Jason Sudeikis‘ Ted Lasso on Apple TV+ introduced Keeley Jones to the viewers. She’s a smart, confident, and sharp model-turned PR dynamo who became an important part of the series. But did you know that this character was crafted, deriving inspiration from model and actor Keeley Hazell, Sudeikis’s ex-girlfriend?

Juno Temple, who has done a brilliant job in bringing Keeley Jones to life, shed light on this in an Et interview. While the premise of the show is fictional, it is inspired by real people, which gives it an authentic spark. Let’s explore the fascinating link between the two Lady Keeleys for a greater context for the thought process of the show, as Juno Temple is set to return for Ted Lasso season 4.

How Keeley Hazell Inspired Keeley Jones in Ted Lasso

In an interview with Et, Juno Temple confirmed that Hazell was a partial inspiration for...

'Harry Potter' Star's 41% Rotten Tomatoes Horror Fantasy Movie Finds Free Streaming Home

Daniel Radcliffeis best known as the titular hero of Harry Potter to many fans around the world. However, once the actor completed the eight-part movie saga, he turned his attention to more niche and meaningful roles across various genres. While some remember him for his villainous turn in The Lost City, and more recently starring in Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, one of his underrated horror films will soon be streaming for free.

Per Cbr, Hornswill debut on Pluto TV later this month, just in time for the (early) spooky season run. The movie is adapted from Joe Hill’s (Stephen King’s son) novel of the same name, which follows Radcliffe's character Ignatius "Ig" Perrish, who becomes the prime suspect when his girlfriend is sexually assaulted and killed. Hannah Waddingham is eager to see what Rebecca Welton will be doing in season 4 of Ted Lasso
Bill Lawrence
While Bill Lawrence and company may have thought they could move the focus onto Shrinking, which is Lawrence’s newest Apple TV+ comedy hit, he will be back on the playing fields soon with Ted Lasso coming back for a fourth season. Jason Sudeikis doesn’t think the viewers gave the third season of Ted Lasso a proper go, even saying they may have been a little too eager to judge rather than accept changes. “Much like live theater, the show, especially Season 3, was asking the audience to be an active participant. Some people want to do that, some people don’t. Some people want to judge—they don’t want to be curious.”

Despite the reception, AFC Richmond will be suiting up for another season and Hannah Waddingham, in particular, can’t wait to get back into character. Variety reports that the actress addressed the anticipated return on the...

Juno Temple’s Comment May Have Just Spoiled a Major ‘Ted Lasso’ Season 4 Twist
Image
Apple TV+’s Ted Lasso won hearts over with its simple premise of being and doing good. With three seasons in the bag and a fourth one currently in production, the show has answered many questions. However, there’s one that’s still a mystery- Who will Juno Temple’s Keeley Jones pick as her partner between Brett Goldstein’s Roy Kent and Phil Dunster’s Jamie Tartt?

The show hasn’t made anything official, but the actress might have accidentally revealed the answer. Keeley and Jamie were together for the first season of the show, but she broke up with him for being a bad boyfriend. She then found love with the gruff but kind Roy Kent in season 2. However, in the premiere episode of season 3, it was revealed that the pair had to part ways after hitting a rough patch in their relationship.

Everyone dreams about living in a Toys “R” Us. You could sleep on a pile of stuffed animals, eat your three square meals in the candy aisle, stage epic action figure battles, and build Lego sets until the tips of your fingers crack from pushing plastic bricks together. However, what if you were living in a Toys “R” Us because you were hiding from the cops? That doesn’t sound like nearly as much fun. Or does it? In the new poster for Roofman, Channing Tatum lets his inner child out to play while avoiding the fuzz.

'Roofman Trailer': Channing Tatum Is a Criminal Living in a Toy Store
Image
Paramount and Miramax have released the first trailer for Roofman, a new crime comedy based on an unbelievable true story. Channing Tatum stars as real-life felon Jeffrey Manchester, a former Army Ranger and struggling father who turns to robbing McDonald's restaurants by cutting holes in their roofs, earning him the nickname that the film is titled after. He eventually gets caught, escapes prison, and finds solace in a Toys "R" Us, where he decides to hide from the authorities — with no shortage of things to keep him entertained.

The trailer largely depicts his time in the toy store, suggesting that this is where most of the action will take place, though there will likely be some glimpses of his criminal activities and jail time. Despite his surroundings, it's not all fun and games, as Tatum's character constantly has to plan his next move to remain undetected during his six-month...

Roofman trailer | Derek Cianfrance’s comeback movie
Image
Channing Tatum is living in a Toys’R’Us in Derek Cianfrance’s Roofman – and the first trailer has landed. More here.

There’s plenty of reasons to be excited about the upcoming release of Roofman in October not least because the film looks set to feature Channing Tatum in full charm offensive mode. After all, how else are we supposed to get behind the film’s lead character, an escpaped convict who hides out in a toy shop at night and robs McDonalds to get by?

There’s plenty more to like here too: the supporting cast boasts one of the most promising ensembles that you’ll find this year. The wonderful Kirsten Dunst co-stars whilst Peter Dinklage, Uzo Aduba, Juno Temple, Lakeith Stanfield, Ben Mendelsohn, Melonie Diaz, Tony Revolori, and Jimmy O. Yang all feature in the film too. Tatum and Dunst as a romantic pairing rings with potential and...

Channing Tatum’s Convict Hides Out In A Toys R Us In Roofman Trailer
Image
It would be fair to say it's been a mad old year for Channing Tatum. In the past twelve months, the Magic Mike star has helped launch Apollo 11 (Fly Me To The Moon), gotten his rocks off as a cancelled tech billionaire with a dark secret (Blink Twice), finally shuffled the deck of Marvel's Ragin' Cajun Gambit (Deadpool & Wolverine), and brought some Hollywood magic to Wrexham AFC. If the first trailer for Derek Cianfrance's true story inspired Roofman is anything to go by though, it looks like things are about to get even more cray-cray for Tatum as he takes on the role of Jeffrey Manchester, a kindly ex military man who *checks notes* robbed a bunch of McDonald's', got sent to jail, escaped jail, and then *double checks notes* hid out in a Toys R Us for months on end while holding down a relationship and nabbing...
