River began acting at just eight years old, landing the lead role in Grobb, filmed in Georgia. He worked alongside his first director, Ryan Monolopolus, and shared the screen with Hollywood elite stunt coordinator-turned-director Garrett Warren. His television credits include working with Ed Helms on Rutherford Falls and portraying Mountain Lion in the Amazon series Outer Range, a role for which he learned to speak a Native American language. River has also modeled for Vans and appeared in major commercials for Coca-Cola and the USDA's anti-vaping campaign.

Alongside River's career as an actor, he also has nearly a decade of dance experience. He has trained extensively across multiple styles at renowned studios. His journey began as a break dancer at Homeland Cultural Center, where he dominated competitions, winning multiple first-place battles.
