The cause of actor Evan Ellingson’s death has been revealed less than a month after he died at age 35.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Ellingson died from an accidental overdose of fentanyl. His body was found on November 5 at his residence in Fontana, California.

The actor opened up about his struggle with addiction in 2021 when he sought out addiction recovery treatment at River’s Edge Ranch. He said he began using drugs at age 19.

Ellingson had several notable roles in films and television roles throughout his childhood and teenage years. In 2009, he played Jesse Fitzgerald in My Sister’s Keeper, acting alongside Cameron Diaz, Abigal Breslin and Sofia Vassilieva.

In a post on Instagram, Breslin remembered Ellingson, who played her big brother in the 2009 film.

“Evan Ellingson was a kind, funny and extremely talented human being,” Breslin shared. “Evan was a genuinely thoughtful person who cared so much about turning in the best performance, which he accomplished. Some of his scenes in Msk still give me chills.”

Breslin continued, “He was also silly, funny, a prankster, a lover of Red Bull (I hated the smell of Red Bull) and he was energetic and the life of the party.”

She Came to Me has designs on being a grand opera, but it’s definitely more of what the British call a panto. The “Game of Thrones” star leads Rebecca Miller’s new film “She Came to Me,” which opens the Berlin Film Festival on Thursday. In the movie, Dinklage plays Steven, a moody classical composer struggling with an oppressive writer’s block that prevents him from delivering his next opera.

At a press conference ahead of the premiere, the film’s cast was asked how they deal with creative blocks of their own.

“I’m 53. I wonder if I want to be an actor for the next 30 years,” said Dinklage. “It’s a fork in the road. It’s a common story when you hit 50: there’s a fork in the road and you either wait for inspiration or you seek it out, and I intend to keep seeking it out.

Chicago – Sometimes all it takes is a glance at a film’s poster to know where it’s stepped wrong. Anyone who has read Jodi Picoult’s book (on which this film is based) will know that there’s no reason why these two characters should be smiling at each other, except to fool audiences into thinking this is some kind of heartwarming feel-good drama. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what filmmaker Nick Cassavetes intends to transform his source material into, and the resulting film fails to grapple with the issues Picoult’s book boldly addresses.

This is another one of those films, like Away We Go, that sort of came out of nowhere. I didn't even know it existed until today and its got quite an impressive cast. Meet Horatio's ex: Elizabeth Berkley is joining CBS' crime drama CSI: Miami as a recurring.

She will play Julia Winston -- Horatio Caine's (David Caruso) former wife and the mother of his recently discovered teenage son, Kyle (Evan Ellingson) -- who becomes part of an investigation when her billionaire husband is murdered.

Berkley has guest-starred on the mothership "CSI" series, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, which spawned CSI: Miami.

The actress, whose feature credits include Any Given Sunday, Curse of the Jade Scorpion and Rodger Dodger, is repped by Innovative Artists and Kritzer/Levine/Wilkins Entertainment.
