Biography

    • Avery Goodwin has always had a knack for entertaining. Whether in talent shows or theater, Avery Goodwin has been drawn to a career in entertainment. He attended at SUNY Purchase College and graduated with a degree in playwriting and screenwriting and during his time there achieved several credits including a quarter-finalist placement in the ScreenCraft Drama screenplay competition at only the age of 18. He also made a short film, For The Love of Money, that went on to debut at NewFilmmakersNY. Moving out to LA in 2020 was obviously a challenge, but during this tough time, he wrote, directed, and starred in many short films and a feature film, Civil Unrest: A Shadow Soldiers Tale. Over the years he would go on to work professionally in the entertainment business working on commercials, music videos, TV, and film projects. Some of his credits include Dear White People, Physical, Big Shot, and multiple Hearst Media Production Group TV shows such as Harlem Globetrotters: Play It Forward, Jack Hannah's Passport, and Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom. He continues to write, direct, and act, producing several works from a podcast to animation to short films. One of those short films, Photographs debuted on YouTube in 2022 and has grossed over 150k views. He is a voracious writer, penning a novel, several screenplays, and TV shows and was even selected for a writer's retreat in France where he studied with other writers and industry professionals. He is a lover of film and TV and storytelling and continues to contribute his work using social media, publishing several YouTube and TikTok shorts.
