Nimisha Nair is an Indian actress and entrepreneur. Born in Delhi, she completed PG Diploma in acting from the Film & Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune in 2019. She trained in the Meisner technique and Strasberg method.
Having shifted her base to Mumbai, Nimisha has been a part of numerous films and series in independent and commercial spaces. She made her debut with Amar Colony, which was awarded the Special Jury Prize at the 26th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival 2022 and the Best Debut Feature at the International Film Festival of Kerala 2022, wherein she portrayed the character of 'Meera'.
The versatile actor made her debut in the web series with the critically acclaimed Trial by Fire, based on the Uphaar Fire tragedy of 1997, which is available for viewing on Netflix. Nimisha also featured in 8 AM Metro, sharing the screen space with Saiyami Kher. It was released theatrically in India in May 2023.
She'll be seen in a yet-to-be-titled feature film, with PoshamPa Pictures, wherein Nimisha is all set to take up the role of a fan turned stalker. She's also awaiting the release of her short film 'Stray Girls' directed by Ambarien Alqadar, and presented by Anurag Kashyap & Ranjan Singh.
