- Marek Janicik studied film dramaturgy, screenwriting and documentary filmmaking under the guidance of film professors Jan Gogol Sr. or director Eduard Grecner. While still a student, he impressed with two films that were also successful at international film festivals: Sizyfos (2011) and Kino Svet (2012), for which Janicík also won the Igric award. Since 2013, he has been working as an external screenwriter and director at CT and STVR. He collaborates on documentary shows such as Nedej se, Folklorika, Babylon, Familia... In addition, he works for several production companies as a freelance screenwriter and director of documentary films. As a film screenwriter, he collaborated on the feature film Amnestie (2019). In 2021, his feature-length portrait about the writer Lubomír Feldek premiered.
