Maher Abbes

Following his university studies in computer sciences and Multimedia, he switched to a field that has always affected him. He obtained a national diploma in cinema and audiovisual techniques. He worked in the sound department in several Tunisian and international productions (netflix, disney, rave...). His experience in the film industry allows him to start a production career. In 2020, he co-produced a short film "MESS" by Mohamed Hussein Grayaa which was screened in the 32nd Carthage Film Festival 2021. In 2021, he was the executive producer of the short documentary film "ô artiste !" written and directed by Mohamed Maghraoui, which was screened at the 33rd edition of the JCC. Later, he produced "leni Africa", a short film by Maroune Labib which has been screened internationally and winner of the Golden Wihr in Oran Arab International Film Festival(2024). Maher Abbes collaborates with talented directors who craft compelling narratives about deep human connections and the profound bond that individuals share with their land, their history, and the passage of time.
