Garth Ennis has written some great, popular comic books over the years, with some of his work including the creation of the books Preacher and The Boys, and fan favorite runs on Marvel’s The Punisher. Preacher and The Boys have both gotten TV series adaptations, and ideas from Ennis’s Punisher books have made it to the screen. A year ago, it was announced that the Ennis-created horror comic Crossed is also getting an adaptation, with the independent company Six Studios picking up the rights to make a film based on the series. Six months ago, Rob Jabbaz, director of the Taiwanese horror film The Sadness, signed on to direct the film. After five seasons, The Boys will be coming to an end. However, a new adaptation from its creator is in the works for fans to anticipate after the fifth and final season of The Boys on Prime Video.
The Hollywood Reporter has revealed a major update on Crossed, a new feature film that's in development. It is based on the post-apocalyptic comic book of the same name by Garth Ennis, who created The Boys with illustrator Darick Robertson. Reportedly, the ensemble cast will be led by Devin Druid (13 Reasons Why) and Ash Santos (American Horror Story). The two will be playing Stan and Cindy, characters who are featured in the original comic book story.
Several other cast members have also been revealed. They include Owen Harn (Cobra Kai) as the villain Horsecock, the leader of the infected, who's joined by Fedor Steer (Haunted Mansion) as Face and Kelvin Adekunle (City of Love) as Stump.
