Leticia Alaniz Cano was born in Allende, Nuevo Leon, Mexico on November
30th, to Paulino Alaniz Cavazos and Maria Elba Cano Cano. She is the
fourth of six children. She is dedicated to the performing and visual
arts. Her acting career began in Mexico, performing for her school
drama department as well as the local professional theater. Leticia
aspired to be an actress and decided to learn the craft at the Adam
Roarke Film Acting School. She was coached for television and film by
the late _Adam Roarke for a period of four years. She worked alongside
_Adelina Anthony and _Marisela Barrera for the Cara Mia Theatre Company
based in Dallas, Texas. Her debut for television was on the series
_"Walker Texas Ranger" (1996)_, produced by Amadea Film Productions. Her first job on a film was as the stand-in for Rene Zellweger on The Whole Wide World (1996),
directed by _Dan Ireland. Leticia's first interest was Journalism which
she pursued as a career at the University of Campeche in México. She
then decided to pursue a career in film which led her to eventually
study a masters degree at the University of Texas in Austin. Leticia
also writes scripts and works as a still photographer on films. Her
visual art has won her numerous awards and has been published as well
as displayed in several art exhibits.
