Liam Neeson Revenge Thriller 'Blacklight' is a Streaming Hit on Netflix
Image
Liam Neeson is one of those stars that audiences are drawn to – especially if he is taking down bad guys as a vigilante-style law enforcer. That is probably why 2022 movie Blacklight is now finding success on the Netflix global chart. With Neeson recently claiming that his time making action movies could be coming to an end soon, perhaps fans just feel they need to cram in as many of his previous movies when they show up on streaming.

Netflix is the home of many successful action movies of the past, so Blacklight is just the latest in a long line that have found themselves frequenting the Top 10 on the platform on many occasions. In this movie, Neeson plays Travis Block, a government operative drawn into a conspiracy that threatens his family and his life – surprise, surprise right? As you would expect, the story finds Neeson’s character balancing up his pursuit of justice,...

Review: A Few Best Men
It’s quite ironic that A Few Best Men is set at a wedding…because, quite frankly, I’ve been to funnier funerals.

Promoted as the “British version of The Hangover”, A Few Best Men follows the exploits of David Locking (Xavier Samuel), an orphaned individual who finds love on the remotest of islands courtesy of Australian native Mia Ramme (Laura Brent). After a week-long romance, David proposes to Mia and plans are made for them to wed within the confides of Mia’s rather scenic home back in Australia. After informing his friends, David and his ‘Best Men’ – Tom (Kris Marshall), Graham (Kevin Bishop) and Luke (Tim Draxl) – travel across to Australia to celebrate the upcoming nuptials, unaware of the influence or importance of Mia’s family, the Rammes.

Of course, in true Hangover style, things don’t quite go to plan – a combination of drugs, drink and one...

Stephan Elliott on A Few Best Men
Stephan Elliott is a multi-tasker. For most of his career, he has juggled both writing and directing duties and now, while on the phone with If, he is in the middle of sweeping his house.

If A Few Best Men seems like a change of pace, it isn't. Although the script was written by Dean Craig (Death at a Funeral), the film's producers gave the director the freedom to contribute his own rewrites.

"There's an awful lot of me in there," he says. "Dean took care of the English and I took care of the Australian."

Elliott first read the script after being persuaded by producer Gary Hamilton.

"I haven't read other people's scripts for years because I basically develop my own," he says. "So he kind of got me in an evil, manipulative way and talked me into reading it."

(For the record, Hamilton's dastardly attack plan involved seeing...

What happens when a documentary crew follows a group of illegal immigrants across the American border? You’re about to find out when director Chris Peckover’s “Undocumented” hits VOD this September from IFC Midnight. The film, which has been described as a cross between “Paranormal Activity” and “Saw”, stars Scott Mechiowicz, Alona Tal, Greg Serano, Kevin Weisman, Tim Draxl, Yancey Arias, Peter Stormare, Adam Kulbersh, Jsu Garcia, Noah Segan, Nick Tucci, Jose Marquez, Deborah Martinez, Carmen, Corral, Lore’l Medina, Castulo Guerra, and Greta Quezada. Justin Hartley, he’s starred in the past couple of seasons of Smallville, he’s competent in his craft and obviously he’s looking for a little more exposure but why on earth would he pick a half assed project like this?

Red Canyon is the debut feature from Director Giovanni Rodriquez. Regina and Devon are brother and sister, they return to their mother’s home town soon after her death in order to take care of her possessions. Having survived a vicious attack a year earlier, both Regina and Devon are unsure about the return to their old stomping ground and so bring along a few friends for the ride. Xavier Samuel to Star in ‘A Few Best Men’
Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, and Robert Pattinson in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (2010)
The Hollywood Reporter has some great news about Eclipse vampire, Xavier Samuel. Xavier has just gotten a lead in a new comedy, A Few Best Men. Read more below:

Sydney — After a trio of horror films including Twilight: Eclipse, The Loved Ones and Bait 3D, Xavier Samuel is turning his hand to comedy, signing on for the lead in Stephan Elliott’s latest feature film, A Few Best Men.

Samuel will star as David, the English groom, in the film which Elliot bills as the latest in “a hugely successful emerging genre — wedding movies for boys.” (Think, The Hangover down under.)

In the film David and his three best men travel to the Australian outback for a destination wedding that is as funny as it is disastrous.

“The girls get the big day. The boys get to sabotage it. And boy I am gonna have some fun,” said Elliot, who’s returned to Australia to make his first feature here in over a decade.

Also starring are Olivia Newton-John as the mother of the bride, British actors Kris Marshall and Kevin Bishop and Aussies Laura Brent, Tim Draxl and Steve Le Marquand.

Olivia Newton-John to star in Stephan Elliott’s A Few Best Men
The cast of Stephan Elliott’s A Few Best Men will include Xavier Samuel, Kris Marshall, Kevin Bishop and Olivia Newton-John as the mother of the bride.

“I’m thrilled Olivia Newton-John is part of the cast; Dean Craig has written a fantastically entertaining script, and it’s especially exciting to partner Stephan Elliott with Olivia who is a true music and film icon. Olivia will be playing a role that will show her in a light she’s never been seen before and it’s going to turn heads and win new fans,” said producer Gary Hamilton.

It will be Newton-John’s first Australian film since 1965′s Funny Things Happen Down Under, and her first film since the American independent release Sordid Lives in 2000. One of her latest TV appearances was in the hit show Glee.

In My Sleep
Though toying with an intriguing idea, “In My Sleep” — written and directed by newcomer Allen Wolf — meanders across the screen in a dull fugue state.

Marcus (Philip Winchester) suffers from parasomnia, a disorder in which the afflicted engages in activities as though he or she is awake, but with no later memory of their actions. He sleepwalks through life meeting strange women for one-night-stands and frequently awakening naked in his car. After receiving a series of threatening phone calls from an angry forgotten lover, Marcus joins Sexaholics Anonymous in search of some control. While at a meeting, he befriends fellow addict Gwen (Abigail Spencer), a recently divorced doctor who works at a local hospital. One morning, Marcus finds himself in his bed covered in blood. Terrified, he finds out that Ann (Kelly Overton), wife of his best friend Justin (Tim Draxl) and one of Marcus's recent sleep-fueled conquests, was brutally murdered.

In My Sleep (2010)
Title: In My Sleep Directed By: Allen Wolf Starring: Philip Winchester, Tim Draxl, Lacey Chabert, Abigail Spencer, Kelly Overton, Amy Aquino When I was a kid, I occasionally went to sleep on the lower section of my bunk bed, but woke up on the top. Yes, I was a sleepwalker. Sometimes I’d get a good giggle out of my nighttime expeditions, but climbing the ladder to the top bunk was a little on the risky side. It sounds crazy, but sleepwalking can be a very dangerous habit. This notion is more true than ever in In My Sleep, not because the main character would do just about anything from drive his car to [...]...

Norman Reedus - Auditions, Big City Life and Red Canyon : An Interview
Norman Reedus admits that he is best known, to date, for his role in Boondock Saints and the sequel. What fans might not know about Reedus is that he is an accomplished artist, sculptor and photographer. Red Canyon More than Gorgeous Views: A Movie Review
Director: Giovanni Rodriguez.

Writers: Laura Pratt, and Giovanni Rodriguez.

Red Canyon is a thriller that was released on DVD as of December 15th and the film, while independent, offers a complex plot involving true identities and dark, dirty secrets. Truly a film that shines in the cinematography, Red Canyon offers more than other previous horror films. Starring Norman Reedus (Boondock Saints: II), Justin Hartley (Smallville), Noah Fleiss (Brick), Christine Lakin (Hottie and Nottie), and Ankur Bhatt (Dirt), Red Canyon is an easy recommend based on the acting, and pacing alone.

The film begins with Devon (Tim Draxl) and Regina (Christine Lakin) involved in a brutal beating in Cainville, Utah. Flash forward a few years and this brother and sister return to the scene of the crime to resolve a real estate deal and the events seven years past. Things come to a head when Mac (Norman Reedus) reveals some secrets...
