'Bleach' Fans Are Getting a Treat This August
Image
It's been a tough time for Bleach fans. The announcement of the last part in the sequel series Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is yet to come, and the future of the franchise is still up in the air. In that scenario, all fans can do is go back and relive the adventures of Ichigo in the first original show, and that is about to become even easier. Tite Kubo Didn’t Plan Ahead When He Gave Bleach’s Most Wasted Character the Most Broken Shikai
Image
Tite Kubo’s Bleach has an undeniably large number of characters. And with a huge cast comes the burden of doing each of them justice. Of course, this means that the author has to pick and choose exactly which character gets development while others are sidelined.

Among the characters who faced injustice at the hands of Kubo, Jushiro Ukitake’s case stands out the most. This captain of the 13th Division was especially known for his kindness and morality. He also played a crucial role in the Tybw arc, but in all honesty, his appearance in the series was scarce at best.

Being the captain of the 13th Division, Ukitake was an extremely powerful shinigami. And it was proven even more when his Shikai was revealed in his battle against Coyote Starrk.

Tite Kubo has become a prominent name in the anime industry through his manga Bleach. Hailed as one of the Big 3s of anime, Bleach continues to draw new fans around the world even now.

Rightfully so, as the gripping storyline, funky animation, terrific action sequences with emotions and humor to top it off, the series stands apart in the shounen category for its originality.

What many fans don’t know, though, is that unlike other mangakas, Tite Kubo stays hands on the anime series from the start to the end. In fact, his dedication to his masterpiece extends to the point that he doesn’t want to work on any other project but Bleach wholeheartedly.

‘Bleach’ May Not Be the Best of the Big 3 But It Broke a Longtime Pattern of Male Lead Characters
Image
Anime has developed a lot over the years, and the origin of its popularity can be attributed to Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball franchise. It was one of the first works in Shonen anime to break global barriers and captivate the global audience.

Dragon Ball inspired the ‘Big 3’, the trio of Bleach, One Piece and Naruto. When it comes to the ranking of these three, it has long been a divisive conclusion. But what is accepted is that Bleach is a step inferior to One Piece and Naruto.

Why do male protagonists often have female voice actors?

Be as it may, Bleach broke a major trend that had persisted in Shonen anime for decades. Ichigo Kurosaki, Bleach‘s protagonist, who was a 15-year-old high schooler, was the only main character among the Big 3 to be voiced by a male voice actor.

In comparison, Luffy (One Piece), Naruto (Naruto), and even...

"No More Excuses About Time or Money": 'Bleach' Producer Breaks Silence on the Future of the Anime
Image
Despite having been released over 20 years ago, Bleach is one of the animes that managed to retain its popularity. This is evidenced by the franchise's latest entry, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, the sequel series to the original that still lures fans in to check out how the story of Ichigo Kurosaki (voiced by Masakazu Morita in the original Japanese and Power Rangers alum Johnny Yong Bosch in the English dub) will end. However, those fans have had to be patient with animation studio Pierrot, which took a decade to start adapting the final arc of the manga series into an anime. ‘Gin did the one thing no Shonen character ever expects’: Tite Kubo’s Real Genius in Bleach Was Convincing Everyone to Believe A Stone Cold Lie

Behind the phenomenal success of Bleach lies a secret ingredient, and it is its truly diverse and complex cast of characters. Unlike most of the other Shonen series, Bleach boasts a roster of comparatively mature personalities that not only make it look cool but also add depth to its epic storylines.

Icons like Aizen, Yhwach, and Urahara are just a few examples of all the masterfully written characters by Tite Kubo that have long continued to captivate fans worldwide.

‘Aizen’s closest friend is Ichigo’: Tite Kubo’s Real Genius in Bleach Is Making Us Feel Bad for Aizen, but Don’t Forget His Worst Crimes That Deserve No Redemption
Image
Tite Kubo is a real genius when it comes to giving his characters an edge. Be it Shinigami or Quincies, his series outlines badassery in the most iconic way. The same goes for one of the legendary villains in the series, Sosuke Aizen.

From staging his death to orchestrating Rukia Kuchiki’s execution, he is truly menacing in most aspects. And while his megalomania is partly responsible for this, fans have other things to say about this.

While he is famed for his scheming and cunning persona, most fans associate his actions with loneliness. Although it seems partly plausible, it doesn’t negate his crimes and atrocities in any case.

To add to that, his actions and feats are tied to Soul Society’s failure in most aspects. Regardless of its structure and order, Kubo painted the Shinigami society...

Ichigo and Renji’s Training at the Soul King’s Palace Forced Bleach: Tybw to Resort to the “Old-fashioned way” of Recording

The Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War (Tybw) arc has captivated fans with its intense battles and emotional storylines. Ichigo and Renji’s training at the Soul King’s Palace was a unique scene that the keen eye of the fans might’ve noticed seems a bit different from the regular scenes. This is because that scene had overlaps and required a return to old-fashioned recording methods, a live recording.

The third season of Tite Kubo’s Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War anime series was finally concluded with the end of 2024. Bleach Tybw Part 3's Finale Is an Explosive Ending to an Epic Season
Image
This review contains spoilers for Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3 - The Conflict, Episodes 13, "The Visible Answer," and Episode 14, "My Last Words." Proceed with caution.

Last week's episode of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War isn't just a strong contender for being Part 3 - The Conflict's best chapter, but one of the best in the anime as well. There was only one way for Bleach to top itself: double down on the spectacle. To end this cour on a high note, set-up Bleach's grand finale, and meet fans' expectations, The Conflict ended with an epic double feature that made its previous, consistently good episodes look amateurish.

Not only are Episodes 39 and 40 vast improvements over Part 2 - The Separation's abrupt season finale, but they're the near-perfect summation of everything great about The Conflict. Ever since Thousand-Year Blood War began, Bleach fans knew they were in for something special. The Conflict's two-part finale doesn't only reaffirm this,...

10 Best Japanese Dragon Ball Voice Actors, Ranked
Image
Dragon Ball is one of the most famous anime series ever made. Ever since the first episode aired on February 26th, 1986, fans have been mesmerized by the adventures of Goku and his friends. When the show is airing, millions of fans tune in weekly to learn what the gang will do next and if they can overcome their latest foe. One reason for this immense success is the quality of the voice acting, as the Japanese cast of Dragon Ball features several prolific and beloved voice actors.

An interesting thing about Dragon Ball's Japanese voice cast is that, unlike the American dub casts that have had several performers take each role, the vast majority of the Japanese voice cast has been there since the franchise's earliest days, with many playing the same character in Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Gt, and Dragon Ball Super. Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War – Dark Reason Aizen Va Admitted “Stripping Away” His Personality While Recording
Image
Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is all the rage with its stellar animation and splendid visuals. It is truly a masterpiece in terms of its storytelling and characterization. But what tops the charts is the voice acting.

Often, we come across voice actors going unhinged during performances and rehearsals. While this is a common phenomenon, this voice actor took it to another level with his bizarre method.

Aizen’s Va Sho Hayami resorted to an insane method as revealed in an interview. While it may seem a stretch, it makes sense considering his reasons for doing so. Moreover, it ties in well with the character’s mystique along with his moral ambiguity as explored in the sequel.

Few anime characters stand a chance of defeating Satoru Gojo and his formidable power of Infinity, but a fair number could come close to challenging him. Even decades later, the biggest competition for the new generation anime-manga series comes from the Big Three anime. For instance, the constant competition between Bleach and Jujutsu Kaisen or One Piece and Demon Slayer is mind-blowing. While Naruto has passed the baton to Boruto, it’s still much more influential than its successor. Some Jujutsu Kaisen fans are especially notorious for trying to prove that their favorite series is better than Bleach.

Bleach Tybw Part 3, Episode 6 Is More Set-up Than Anything Else
Image
This review contains mild spoilers for Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3 - The Conflict, Episode 6, "The Holy Newborn."

Now that Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3 - The Conflict is at its halfway point, the cour understandably needed a quick break from the heavy action so that the story could catch up. This was the main purpose for last week's middling episode, and this extended break continues over in this week's outing. But where last week's episode could be regarded as the closest thing to a filler episode that The Conflict had, "The Holy Newborn" does a bit more than just prepare the final battle's stage even if doesn't show a single fight.

"The Holy Newborn" comes off the heels of last week's cliffhanger, which saw the return of the fan-favorite Espada, Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez. While his reunion with Ichigo Kurosaki was concluded a lot quicker than what some Bleach fans may have hoped for,...

Dandadan is a wild and exciting new shonen anime that stars a male/female duo of heroes, Momo Ayase and the boy known as Okarun. Still, Momo Ayase has a long way to go before she can rank among the very best shonen girls. There are plenty of shonen girls out there already who either do what Momo does better than she can (so far), or they are more compelling in other ways entirely. Many of these top-tier shonen girls are powerful heroines who have saved the day many times with their own two hands,...
