Biography

Chief Narrative Editor and Writer at DF Pictures, Mr. Manuelle Magnus (born Artem Popov on April 2, 1988 in Tomsk, Russia) is responsible for writing synopses, scripts and supervising the cohesion and accuracy of all the intellectual properties the company has in stock. Magnus graduated from TSU (Tomsk State University) with a master's degree in linguistics, translation and language interpretation (English and French languages). He also graduated from TV2 Television Journalism School where he was taught by well-known TV and radio journalist Andrey Murashov. Magnus has a background in graphic novels and comic books. In 2012 alone with Arseniy Dubakov (the founder and CEO of Illusion Studios LLC) he created a comic book called Hellsuckers. He also translated, localized and culturalized numerous comic books/graphic novels including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014-2018). Magnus worked on various social media marketing campaigns, videos, interviews and other digital content localization including the web series called Le Département, which he helped adopting from French to Russian. In 2018, he moved to China where he worked as an English language teacher in multiple schools.
