Harvey Keitel, Toni Collette join Parisian comedy 'Madame'
Almodóvar regular Rossy de Palma to also star in the film produced by Paris-based Lgm and Studiocanal.

Harvey Keitel, Toni Collette, Rossy de Palma and Stanislas Mehrar have joined the cast of French director Amanda Sthers’s English-language debut Madame, a comedy-drama revolving around a housemaid asked to masquerade as a wealthy heiress by her employees.

The feature - produced by Paris-based Lgm in partnership with Studiocanal - will shoot in Paris for six weeks from today (July 20).

Collette and Keitel play wealthy American couple Anne and Bob who have recently set up home in Paris and decide to give a high-class dinner for a dozen distinguished diners.

The last-minute arrival of Bob’s son from his first marriage suddenly takes the number of guests to 13. The superstitious Anne asks housemaid Maria (played by de Palma) to change her uniform and pretend to be a wealthy Spanish friend.

Kino Lorber acquires 'Rabin, The Last Day'
Amos Gitai
Israeli director Amos Gitai’s latest film chronicles events surrounding the final days of the assassinated Israeli prime minister Yitzhak Rabin.

Rabin, The Last Day premiered in competition at the Venice Film Festival and screened in the Masters section at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Rabin died on November 4, 1995, at the hands of a 25-year-old right-wing law student who opposed the signing of the Oslo Accords and the Israeli withdrawal from the West Bank.

Cyril Colbeau-Justin produced alongside Jean Baptiste DuPont, Sylvie Pialat, David Kessler, Laurent Truchot, Michael Tapuach, Francesco Di Silvio and Gitai.

The film’s Us premiere will take place at the 25th annual New York Jewish Film Festival in January 2016

Kino Lorber negotiated North American rights with Indie Sales and will release the film on January 29, 2016.

Indie sales will handle international rights with Orange Studio.

After last year's elegant Gainsbourg from Joan Sfar, France is giving us yet another musical biopic of a vintage pop star. The upcoming Cloclo, about pop singer Claude François, started shooting on Monday, for a planned 2012 release. In the 60s Claude François turned France upside down with his love for glitter, insane outfits and catchy tunes that made him one of the most successful French singers of all time, even after his sudden death in 1978, at the age of 39. Gist: A former student of Eric Rohmer's, helmet Florient Emilio Siri actually started his career shooting glossy music videos for France's finest hip hop artists before turning to action-packed flicks such as The Nest (2002) and Hostages (2005) starring Bruce Willis.
