"These are sharks... but they can fly, you say?" Dark Sky Films has released an official trailer for a totally ridiculous action CGI-spectacle called Sky Sharks, from filmmaker Marc Fehse. First there was Iron Sky, then there was Sharknado, then there was the Iron Sky sequel (The Coming Race), now there's Sky Sharks. After an arctic research team discovers a long-lost Nazi warship frozen in the ice, they inadvertently unleash the Third Reich's unknown secret weapon: Sky Sharks. What if the Nazis had been secretly developing giant modified flying sharks flown by undead super-humans? Yeah, that's all they've got for a concept this time. Deep in the ice of the antarctic, a team of geologists uncover an old nazi laboratory still intact where dark experiments had occured. In order to conquer the world, the Nazis created modified sharks who were able to fly and whose riders are genetically mutated, undead super-humans. A miltary task force called “Project: Dead Flesh” – reanimated US soldiers who fell in Vietnam – is put together to prevent world downfall.

‘Sky Sharks’ to open horror and fantasy film festival.

Seven world premieres will screen as part of the UK’s Frightfest virtual edition running from August 27-31.

A total of 25 films have been selected for the horror and fantasy film festival. All virtual screenings will be geo-locked to UK audiences, which means the London-based festival will be accessible nationwide for the first time.

Frightfest is also planning a physical event for October which will feature an entirely different line-up.

This year's Arrow Video Frightfest is to open with the world première of Sky Sharks, it was announced today. The Nazi-themed spectacular has been in the works for many years - we discussed it with director Marc Fehse in 2015 - and it's bound to receive a warm welcome from fans. It will be accompanied by a quiz, emphasising that the participation element of the festival will be preent as always despite the fact that this year it's all taking place online.

I always felt like I needed to get back to shooting an out-and-out horror film. There’s nothing like the fun on the set of a Zombie flick. While waiting for Lyra’s Wish, my next big project to be greenlit, I was talking to executive producer Malcolm Winter if he was game to shoot and finance a low budget film in between. With the highly-anticipated horror Death House being released in cinemas on 23rd February 2018, I got a chance to speak with actor Yan Birch about the legacy of People Under the Stairs (1991), his character in Death House and hanging out with friends on the set.

How did you first get into acting?

My father was in the business in Sweden. Mostly Cabarets and Comedy shows. He was also a musician, so I grew up in a very creative arts environment. I started with music and then moved on to hosting a TV-Show in my teens. Then it continued from there.

You have had various roles over your career, but you are best known for your performance the Stairmaster from People Under the Stairs (1991). Did you think that the character would still be so popular over 25 years later?

I had no idea that anything like this would happen… I did know anything...

Exclusive: Toronto-based Raven Banner Entertainment has secured worldwide rights to the mutant shark-infested, Nazi zombie creature feature and will start sales in Cannes.

Marc Fehse directed Sky Sharks and the cast includes Robert Lasardo, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, Nick Principe, Lar Park-Lincoln and Lynn Lowry.

Production is set for January 2016 on the story of a team of Antarctic geologists who uncover an experimental Nazi weapon and enlist an elite team to eradicate the monstrous threat.

James Fler and Michael Paszt negotiated rights for Raven Banner with producer Yazid Benfeghoul.

“Our relationship with B-films goes a long way back,” said Fehse. “It was about time we made one of our own that uniquely blends CG with quality practical effects.

“Although you might not see this one coming, we actually intend to take our story and the audience seriously while having a blast at the same time.”...

As shambling post-human zombies take a well earned rest, sharks are fast becoming the number one stars of the B-movie world. Sky Sharks looks at what happens when geologists in the Arctic accidentally awaken an army of flying zombie sharks ridden by Nazi supermen who are bent on world conquest. According to director Marc Fehse it has everything genre fans want: "flying sharks, Nazi zombies, nude girls, a lot of action and blood, nonsense and good looking CG FX and real blood FX," so there’s no need to see more than one film. Although the film is still in production, we spoke to Marc for an early insight into what else viewers can look forward to.

"I drank too much!" he exclaims when asked how the idea for the film came about. "First, I asked my brother what he thought about this idea sharks could live in the sky.
