‘Aew: Collision’ Review (Jul 31st 2025)
Image
Welcome to this week’s review of Aew: Collision, which – this week – is another Thursday night special. We’ve got the commentary team of Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness calling the action, so let’s get into our review!

Match #1: Aew World Tag Team Title Eliminator Tournament Quarterfinal – Brodido (Brody King and Roh World Champion Bandido) def. Gates of Agony (Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona) The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:

Kaun made the tag out to Toa Liona, who called for Brody King to tag in, but Bandido had no intention of leaving the action and stood up to Liona. After a stalemate between Bandido and Liona, King tagged in and the meat was served. The two biggest men in the match traded shots with Liona shockingly walking right through King’s massive chops across the chest. And then one of the best parts of the week,...

‘Aew: Dynamite’ Review (Jul 16th 2025)
Image
Welcome to this week’s review of Aew: Dynamite, which was broadcast from the Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, Illinois. Let’s get straight into the review of the post-All In: Texas show!

Match #1: Kyle Fletcher def. Mascara Dorada The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:

Fletcher wasted no time, opening with a blistering high boot and grounding Dorada with heavy right hands before tearing at his mask. The strategy was clear: keep the high-flyer on the mat. But Dorada wouldn’t stay grounded for long. The luchador stunned the crowd with an unreal slingshot missile dropkick — planting his foot not on the ropes, but on the ring post to launch himself back into the action. Fletcher regained control with a well-timed counter, popping Dorada into the air and planting him with a twisting side slam reminiscent of a Bossman Slam. Back live, Fletcher stayed on the attack...

‘Aew All In: Texas 2025’ PPV Review
Image
Welcome to my review of Aew All In: Texas 2025, the first to take place in the United States since 2018’s original Roh/indie supershow All In, which kicked off Aew as we know it today. The show opened with Zero Hour as usual, which saw the Sons of Texas defeat Shane Taylor Promotions; “Big Boom!” A.J. and The Conglomeration beat the Don Callis Family; and a rematch between Ftr (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) (with Stokely) and The Outrunners (Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd) in which the latter team were defeated – unlike their previous outing! With that, let’s get into the show proper…

Match #1: Aew World Trios Championship Match – The Opps def. Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta) and Gabe Kidd The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:

The action broke down immediately, with all six men pairing off into brawls—Shibata and Kidd reigniting their deeply...

Image
Welcome to this week’s review of Aew: Dynamite, which was broadcast from Garland, Texas. Let’s get straight into the review of the go-home show for this year’s All In: Texas!

Match #1: Kyle Fletcher & Konosuke Takeshita def. Bandido & Brody King The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:

This match opened with a collision of power between Brody King and Takeshita, trading heavy forearm shots and shoulder tackles. Bandido showcased his agility with a swift sequence including an impressive dive. Fletcher quickly responded, displaying his strength with a powerful full-body slam. The momentum swung dramatically when Brody King tagged in, executing his brutal Cannonball Senton in the corner, nearly pinning Fletcher. Fletcher fought back valiantly, hitting a Michinoku Driver on King. Bandido energized the crowd with a precise hurricanrana on Takeshita, prompting Don Callis to momentarily leave his seat at commentary, thinking the match was decided. Brody King continued the offensive,...

‘Aew: Dynamite #300’ Review
Image
Welcome to this week’s review of Aew: Dynamite #300, which was broadcast from Ontario, California. Let’s get straight into the review!

Match #1: Aew TBS Championship – Mercedes Moné def. Mina Shirakawa The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:

Mina Shirakawa immediately went on the offensive, backing Moné into the corner with rapid strikes. Mercedes attempted to regroup outside the ring, but Mina pursued, leading to a heated exchange highlighted by Shirakawa’s Lou Thesz Press into mounted punches. Moné quickly turned the tables, delivering her own mounted punches before sending Shirakawa crashing to the floor, taunting Women’s World Champion Toni Storm at ringside. Moné maintained control with a crossface, but Shirakawa countered brilliantly into a figure-four leglock and holding onto the hold even as Mercedes rolled to the floor. The fierce battle spilled to ringside, where Shirakawa executed a spectacular Tornado Ddt from the ring steps. However, Mercedes...

‘Aew: Dynamite’ Review (Jun 25th 2025)
Image
Welcome to this week’s review of Aew: Dynamite, which was broadcast from Seattle, Washington. Let’s get straight into the review!

Match #1: Will Ospreay & Swerve Strickland def. Blake Christian & Lee Johnson The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:

Ospreay and Swerve entered the arena hastily, clearly caught off guard, as Ospreay taped his wrists en route to the ring. Facing Lee Johnson and Blake Christian, the match began with Johnson and Swerve exchanging rapid maneuvers, highlighted by a quick leapfrog sequence and evasion by Johnson. Ospreay, sporting a noticeable black eye from a previous superkick incident, tagged in and executed a sharp Manhattan Drop and a blistering chop on Christian. Despite their abrupt start, Ospreay and Swerve showcased impressive chemistry. A notable moment came when Ospreay launched himself into Johnson on the outside with a dynamic crossbody. However, the Young Bucks appeared ringside, creating a distraction that allowed...

‘Aew: Collision’ Review (Jun 21st 2025)
Image
Welcome to this week’s review of Aew’s Collision, which, after a few weeks being combined with Dynamite in huge 4-hour “super” shows – brings wrestling back to Saturday nights. We’ve got the commentary team of Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness calling the action, so let’s get into our review!

Match #1: Jon Moxley def. Ar Fox The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:

The match started rapidly, Fox aggressively taking the fight directly to Moxley, quickly staggering the champion with explosive strikes and a sharp dropkick. Moxley soon countered decisively, flooring Fox with a perfectly-timed right hand out of mid-air. With Wheeler Yuta watching intently at ringside, Moxley began asserting dominance through punishing strikes and submissions, including a ruthless head-and-arm triangle choke using the top rope for extra leverage. Moxley’s aggression continued as he delivered a powerful suplex and followed with a forearm pressed aggressively across Fox’s face,...

Match #1: Adam Cole, Brody King, Bandido, Daniel Garcia, Atlantis, Atlantis Jr. & Templario def. Dax Harwood, Volador Jr. & The Don Callis Family The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:

The atmosphere reached fever pitch with an explosive 14-man tag team showdown. The match began with electrifying exchanges, notably Bandido showcasing agility with a beautiful flying headscissors on Takeshita. The pace remained relentless, Hechicero creatively tying Daniel Garcia in a hammerlock hold before executing a devastating, innovative maneuver described aptly by Excalibur as a “mad scientist bomb”. One of the most stunning spots came when Templario executed a breathtaking dive to the outside, wowing the crowd and escalating the action even further. Archer...

‘Aew: Double or Nothing 2025’ PPV Review
Image
It’s one of Aew’s biggest pay-per-views of the year: Double or Nothing 2025, which was broadcast live from Glendale, Arizona. The show had the usual surprises, appearances, and sheer craziness that comes with the company’s first (and flagship) PPV. This year’s Double or Nothing opened with the usual “Buy In” that saw Anna Jay and Harley Cameron pick up the surprise win against Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford; and Ar Fox, Bandido, Komander and Hologram beat the team of Trent Beretta, Rocky Romero, Lio Rush and Action Andretti. On with the main show…

Match #1: Owen Hart Cup Tournament Women’s Final – Mercedes Moné def. Jamie Hayter The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:

Early on, both competitors tested each other’s strength and agility. Hayter’s clear power advantage initially served her well, grounding Moné and leveraging heavy strikes and powerful clotheslines. However, Moné strategically targeted Hayter’s vulnerable lower back,...

‘Aew: Collision’ Review (May 22nd 2025)
Image
Welcome to this week’s review of Aew’s Collision, which brings wrestling back to Saturday nights – though this week it’s on a Thursday(?!). We’ve got the commentary team of Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness calling the action, so let’s get into our review!

Match #1: RPG Vice & Konosuke Takeshita def. Outrunners & Bandido The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:

Don Callis also joined the commentary desk for this one, stating before the bell that he’s quite the fan of Adam Cole – something the TNT Champion found hard to believe. In the ring, Roh World Champion Bandido and Trent Beretta started the action. A series of counters and chops left Bandido in the driver’s seat, as he lifted Beretta for a stalling vertical suplex and held him aloft for more than 10 seconds. When Rocky Romero and Takeshita attempted to make the save, the Outrunners were quick to cut both off,...

Match #1: Megan Bayne def. Anna Jay The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:

These two have been on a collision course since Anna Jay’s return to Aew on April 26, when Megan Bayne viciously attacked Jay. Subsequently, on May 3 in Atlantic City, Jay intervened to assist Harley Cameron during an assault by Bayne, leading to a physical confrontation between Jay and Bayne.

My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Kyle Fletcher def. Ar Fox The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:

Kyle Fletcher, representing The Don Callis Family himself, went one-on-one with the high-flying Ar Fox, who was involved in an 8-man tag against the Family on last week’s Collision. Both...

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew’s Collision, which brings wrestling back to Saturday nights – though this week it’s on a Thursday(?!). We’ve got the commentary team of Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness calling the action, so let’s get into our review!

Match #1: Ricochet def. Angelico The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:

There was a familiar face for wrestling fans in the crowd as Ricochet made his entrance – the one and only Zach Gowen. Angelico started this one off hot, keeping Ricochet grounded and even getting a little rub in on his bald head for good luck. In a less loving move, Angelico then slapped Ricochet’s dome a few times while he was stretching him out in a submission. But Ricochet turned the tables and scored the victory with the Spirit Gun. With another win in the ledger, Ricochet grabbed the microphone...

Swerve was about to speak on the microphone before the match, but the EVPs, The Young Bucks, Matthew and Nicholas Jackson, came out before the match began. Blake came out in his ring gear, meanwhile, Swerve was in his street clothes. The Young Bucks sat in chairs and watched the match at the top of the ramp. Lee tripped Swerve, grabbing his ankle, and Blake seized the opportunity to stomp Swerve in the corner. Blake followed up with a springboard from the middle rope. Blake hit a shotgun dropkick.
