Biography

Gurki Basra is a retail and fashion strategy expert with over 15 years of experience working at various companies where she has profitably run multi million dollar businesses. She has lead businesses for over 50 brands spanning across various categories at a time where these brands thrived and dominated their respective industry.

She is most well known for having curated the Jewelry and Watch categories as Senior Buyer for Barneys New York where she launched and created their successful engagement ring and bridal business. She has also held positions at Brunello Cucinelli, Neiman Marcus, Victoria's Secret and Old Navy. Gurki holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.

In 2019, Gurki was featured in the hit Netflix reality show "Dating Around" where she went on multiple blind dates on camera. Her episode titled "Gurki" is featured in Season 1, Episode 2 with a clip from her episode going viral garnering 6.1M views with the hashtag #TeamGurki trending when her episode launched.

She is the daughter of Sikh Punjabi parents who moved to France shortly after their arranged marriage. When she was 12 years old, they migrated from France to Houston, Texas to be closer to family. Her successful career has allowed her to explore various communities after Houston including Dallas, San Francisco, Columbus, New York City and most recently Los Angeles.
