Jonathan Bennett is opening up about his husband Jaymes Vaughan‘s health.
In a new video shared on Instagram on Sunday (August 10), the 44-year-old Hallmark Channel star revealed that Jaymes, 42, can finally eat a meal normally after undergoing a procedure to correct his Schatzki ring, which is a painful condition that made him vomit when he ate.
Keep reading to find out more…“Oh my God, babe. Is this what it’s like when you eat and it goes down?” Jaymes said through tears while taking a bite of an omelette.
“I’m emotional…I’m eating!” Jaymes added, laughing through the tears.
According to the Cleveland Clinic, a Schatzki ring is “extra tissue that forms a circle on the inside of your lower esophagus. The ring narrows your esophagus so it may be hard for you to swallow food. Sometimes, food gets caught in your esophagus, causing sharp or burning pain.

SNL’s hosting history is varied, but generally speaking, hosts are promoting upcoming projects, they are friends of the show, or are generally relevant in the news. There is a woman who fits all these criteria and has a special connection with early October…
Our favorite fictional twin: Lindsay Lohan.

Making her television acting debut in a 2001 episode of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” veteran soap star Elizabeth Hendrickson has recently taken on a different kind of role, this time working behind the scenes as a director.
Hendrickson, who currently appears in the recurring role of Chloe Mitchell on “The Young and the Restless,” announced the news in an Instagram post, saying, “After 24 years in front of the camera, I’m thrilled to be able to tell you all that I’ve stepped behind it.” She added, “I’ve spent the past 18 months up in the booth, shadowing, observing & absorbing — not knowing if it would ever turn into something more. There’s something special about celebrating Christmas at sea, but experiencing it with one of your best friends while surrounded by Hallmark stars?
That’s a holiday dream wrapped in a bow.
This July, Hallmark Channel is bringing that magic to the screen with Christmas at Sea, a new four-part docuseries that sets sail on Monday, July 7 at 8/7c.
(Courtesy of Hallmark Media)
The series offers a behind-the-scenes look at Hallmark’s very first Christmas Cruise — a floating celebration filled with carols, cocoa, and cozy meet-cutes — and yes, I was lucky enough to be on board for the very cruise they filmed.
While the show “casts” a handful of super fans and couples (you’ll see sweet stories like a surprise proposal and a bestie duo celebrating 46 years of friendship), the truth is, every single person on that ship brought their own spark to the festivities.

Scarlett Johansson Recalls Major Dilemma She Faced During Initial Jurassic World Rebirth Discussions
Scarlett Johansson is, like a lot of people, a bigJurassic Parkfan. But her love for the franchise runs deeper than many people would admit to, especially if they were trying to impress Steven Spielberg.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Johansson said she was unsure if she should tell the legendary director how obsessed she was with the franchise he created during initial discussions about a potential role in Jurassic World Rebirth. "I had a meeting with him and I don't actually know if he knew the depths of my Jurassic fandom, but I'm hoping that no one explained it to him too thoroughly because it maybe would've come off as being a little too much," she said.
"Although knowing Steven now, he was excited when I shared with how much it would mean to me to play any part in Jurassic. I could've played it cooler, and maybe I wouldn't have gotten it,...

Mean Girls remains one of the most iconic teen movies, and that’s partly down to the all-around perfect casting choices that were made behind the scenes. Can you even imagine what it would have been like if the lineup of talent had been different!?
Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfied and Lacey Chabert grounded the movie as members of The Plastics – teen royalty of North Shore High School.
They were joined by other talented young actors such as Jonathan Bennett, Daniel Franzese and Lizzy Caplan alongside comedy legends Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
However, Mean Girls almost looked very different. For starters, all three members of The Plastics auditioned for other parts in the movie before they were finally cast. Several other actresses were also in the running for parts, and an A-list actor was considered for Jonathan‘s character Aaron Samuels.

Jonathan Bennett had to learn to play football for his role in 'Mean Girls'.The 43-year-old actor starred as heartthrob Aaron Samuels in the 2004 cult classic - which followed Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried and Lacey Chabert as a group of popular girls in a comedy that serves as a parody of the high school clique system - and admitted upon the film's 21st anniversary on Wednesday (30.04.25) evening that he had never even "kicked a soccer ball" before he arrived on set. Alongside footage of him learning to play football for the movie, he wrote on Instagram: "Mean Girls came out 21 years ago today. This is footage of me practicing kicking a soccer ball for the scene. I kicked a soccer ball for the first time in my life when filming this. How did I do? Butch?"The Hallmark star thanked his fans for the "support" they have...

Hallmark and Peacock have had an amicable content-sharing partnership for three years, but now it has recently been reported that one of the most recognized networks is parting ways with another successful streaming service.
Meanwhile, TVLine reported that Hallmark’s library of content will leave Peacock in around one week, on Thursday, May 1. This means that Peacock subscribers should binge their favorite Hallmark series or movies before they disappear.

What’s a Hallmark Channel Christmas movie without a romantic dance scene? A hunk in a tuxedo waltzing with a woman in an elegant dress in front of tinsel-adorned trees? It practically screams Hallmark.
Which is why when Hallmark decided to launch its foray into reality competition shows last year on its Hallmark+ streaming service, it leaned into those tropes. Finding Mr. Christmas, hosted by Jonathan Bennett, featured a handful of wannabe Hallmark hunks competing in challenges plucked straight from the channel’s holiday films, with the winner starring in a Hallmark Original Movie of their own.
“There are two types of people in the world: There are people that watch Hallmark Christmas movies, and liars,” Bennett quips in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “Everyone likes a Christmas movie, it just is part of pop culture. Mean Girls was a major success when it came out in 2004, but its popularity has only grown over the years. The movie further grew into a franchise that includes a made-for-tv sequel, a Broadway stage musical, and a film adaptation of the stage play.
However, even with all the additions, the 2004 teen comedy movie has become a cult classic. Starring Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Lizzy Caplan, Lacey Chabert, and Amanda Seyfried, the actors are often recognized for their roles in the hit comedy. In a new appearance on Happy Sad Confused, Seyfried showed her appreciation for Mean Girls and reacted to people always quoting the movie back to her.
The Oscar-nominated actress has starred in many projects throughout her career, but Mean Girls marked her feature film debut after roles in two soap operas, As the World Turns and All My Children. Seyfried addressed whether the love the movie is...

Amanda Seyfried is forever indebted to Mean Girls.
In an interview on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Seyfried reflected on the 2004 teen comedy and the “unadulterated fun” she had while making the film when she was 17.
Host Josh Horowitz reminded Seyfried how loved the film is to this day. “Until the day you die, a 14-year-old girl will come up to you every day and quote you as if it just came out the day before.” Horowitz said.
“I hope they quote it on my grave,” said Seyfried, who played Karen Smith in the movie. “That’s an organic moment. It was, in many ways, a perfect movie, and people relate to it, still. It connected us, and it continues to. I will always be excited to talk about it,” adding “Any day, I’ll honor that movie for what it did for me as a person.”

Amanda Seyfried will always remember Mean Girls, even in the afterlife.
During her recent appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, host Josh Horowitz brought up how the 2004 teen comedy is still so beloved today and potentially “bigger in the zeitgeist than maybe it was 20 years ago.” Seyfried played Karen Smith in the film.
“Until the day you die, a 14-year-old girl will come up to you every day and quote you as if [Mean Girls] just came out the day before,” he said.
The Mamma Mia! actress noted that the film became a “forever moment,” before adding, “I hope they quote it on my grave…. In many ways, it was just a perfect movie. Casting for a television series is considerably different than casting for a film or a stage play in that it's about more than just finding the right ensemble for right now; creators need to consider each actor's capacity for maturing and/or evolving in their role, as well as their ability to work and play well with others. You might be able to get away with casting a bit of a malcontent on a movie (though most directors I've spoken to sternly discourage this line of thinking), but if someone's even just a tad contentious during the casting process, they could make everyone's life miserable over the long haul, and that's just not worth it.
Obviously, creators and casting directors try like hell to get it right the first time through, but compromise is always necessary. Sometimes your first choice suddenly becomes unavailable, sometimes they want too much money and...

It's true that all movies start as words on a page, but this gets you maybe a tenth of the way down the road to a completed film -- and even if you embark on this journey with a brilliantly crafted screenplay, there are still a myriad of opportunities to make an absolute dog along the way. That's because filmmaking is a highly collaborative art form. Everyone, from the director to the cinematographer to the editor to the production and costume designers needs to be dedicated to properly serving that terrific screenplay.
One of the most important stages in film production is, of course, casting. There is an art to great casting (which is why it now has its own Oscar), particularly when it comes to piecing together a comedy. Again, it's not just a matter of bringing together some of the funniest people on the planet. You need look...
