Shreya Jha is an upcoming Writer/Director currently based in Los Angeles, California. Jha has dabbled with the art of filmmaking since the tender age of fourteen, wherein she wrote and directed short psychological thrillers. Since then Jha's filmography has evolved making her tap into various genres such as Drama (The Sun Rises in the West, 2020), Period Drama films (Free at Last, 2019), and even Fantasy Drama. Even though her filmography is spread across a wide range of genres the crux of her stories normally revolve around characters that have to choose between their ambition or family.

Jha personally believes in a cinema that shows experiences grounded in reality and characters as human as possible "Because in the end cinema is just a mirror of our reality" - Shreya Jha

Born and brought up in Ahmedabad, India, Jha recently directed a film that uses her birthplace as a magnificent backdrop and pushes forward a very strong cultural idea. The film is called &#39;The Sun Rises in the West.&#39;.
