Biography

    • Gala Nikolic was born in Rijeka, Croatia in 1997 and is an internationally recognized actress hailing from Croatia. She gave life to various lead roles in productions by Croatian National Theatre. Zajc, International Theatre Ulysses and Istrian National Theatre. Film credits include Fishing and Fishermen's Talk where she acted next to her professors Rade Serbedzija and Leon Lucev. She also finished primary ballet school and translated her ballet work into movement based theater.

      Her LA shows include the CalArts Center for New Performance production of Kubrick's Aryan Papers followed by a production of Augustine Machine Ou Encore Une Nuit D'Insomnie that opened in Paris.

      She graduated from the Academy of Applied Arts at the University of Rijeka and she also holds a master of fine arts degree from California Institute of Arts in Los Angeles. She is the first Croatian artist to be admitted in the acting program at CalArts.

      Gala also writes and directs and her award winning one woman show Land of the Wolves toured all over theaters in Croatia, Bosnia and Serbia. Her documentary short Sto Te Vise Vrijedam, To Te Vise Volim screened at Liburnia Film Festival.

      Her modeling work can be seen with the photographer Filip Koludrovic in magazines like Numero Berlin, StoryBook and 1883 Magazine.
