The cosmic horrors of H.P. Lovecraft is getting the 3D animated film treatment in Ages of Madness from Lince Studios.  Directed by Helio Mira, the ambitious adult-oriented project is currently in the conceptual phase of production and requires a budget of thirteen million euros with more than three years of development.  The Spanish-based studio, in collaboration with Magic Gate Studios, is also producing a H.P. Lovecraft-related animated short, Helen that is somewhat a prelude to the film.The Cthulhu Mythos is a shared fictional universe created in the 1920s by American horror writer H.P. Lovecraft. Based on Hp Lovecraft's Call of Cthulhu, this Catalonian production is looking for a budget of $16.8n million and it's only in the concept stage. As an adult oriented cartoon, the story follows the Necronomicon through the ages. Written and directed by Helio Mira, it's seeking funding at the Cartoon Movie Mart in Lyon, France. I hope they get the dough they need.
