Biography

    • Laguna is an actress and contemporary dancer. The first time she performed in theater was as Frida Khalo in a monologue directed by José Luis Pineda. She also played the role of Carmelita, la Niña del Mechón about a child with cancer by the same director. Although Laguna made a pause in her life to work in Tourism, she returned to acting as an actress in films. Her more recently work was in the role of Celeste in the short film "Me and You" directed by Debra Balamos. Laguna got her college degree in dance at the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo, Bellas Artes Department in Morelia Michoacán México. She is actually taking classes in West Hollywood at Anthony Meindl's Workshops LA where she has been taught by Barbara Howlin, Eric Gutierrez, Frances Brennand Roper, Ani Avetyan, and Nina Rausch.

Laguna was born in a little city in Michoacán called Lázaro Cárdenas in December 19, 1985. Her mom worked as a teacher and her dad's job was in the dock as captain of a tugboat. She is the oldest of two sisters. She moved to Morelia to study in the University, and after school she started working in SH Producciones Theater Company as part of the logistic department at first. Was in this company where she had the opportunity to perform as an actress leading the role of Frida. After five years collaborating with SH Producciones she moved to Mexico City to get a job in tourism being part of Grupo Posadas in the Hotel Fiesta INN. Without not experience she got the job as a 360° working in the areas of reception, restaurant and call center. Before the first year she got a new opportunity as a Banquet Event Coordinator, and then she became a Sales Executive in the same hotel. Later three years she decided to move to United State following her inner desire of being a film actress.

Laguna is looking forward to working in the next "Tijuana" Mexico series, "Dead to Me" USA series, any feature by the direction of Alfonso Quaron, or opposite Kate Winslet, Gael García and Meryl Streep.

"The best way to predict your future is to create it" Abraham Lincoln.
