One of the best things about anime is that it can appeal to fans of all ages. While most series cater to adults, plenty of titles are available for the youngest viewers. However, finding age-appropriate series for young teens and tweens can sometimes be a challenge. It's an awkward age demographic, where young viewers are looking to get into more mature themes but still aren't quite old enough for many of the intense anime series available.
Fortunately, anime is a versatile medium with a vast assortment of titles that fit this bill. Ranging from various genres and categories, many anime series manage to be serious and mature while still keeping things PG for younger audiences. It's important to preview such anime before giving kids the okay to view, as a series' popularity among that age group may not guarantee it's actually appropriate.

Anime is one of the most popular artistic mediums in the world, due in large part to the widespread success of the shonen genre. Its universal appeal has helped many of the most popular shonen shows transcend the genre’s original demographic, and although action is usually a defining aspect of these titles, they rarely get too dark or mature for younger viewers to enjoy.
However, while most shonen heroes are paragons of virtue and honor, the genre has also produced several villains that are much, much darker than those seen in other shows geared toward children. From Dragon Ball Z to Demon Slayer, even the most beloved series have pushed the boundaries with the sheer cruelty of their villains.

There will always be spirited discussions about what the absolute best anime series is, and that's a tricky debate, even when fans narrow things down to just shonen, just action series, and the like. A good example is One Piece's own ranking among the best anime, because while everyone agrees that One Piece is one of the legendary greats, it's not necessarily #1. No other anime can beat One Piece at its game of scale, but that's not the only game that an anime series can play.
Pound for pound, in their own genres, a handful of anime series and anime-adjacent cartoons have been praised as being as good as One Piece or even better. The community loves One Piece, but there's always more to enjoy within a medium that is so varied and vast (and growing faster than ever). Along with this, there's no denying that One Piece's early animation aged poorly,...

Over the past few decades, the popularity of anime has grown to immense heights, resulting in audiences around the world regularly watching Japan’s most beloved animated series. While these series vary significantly in terms of genre and tone, a large percentage of anime share one thing in common: high-stakes combat and action.
Action is a major part of anime’s appeal, so it’s no surprise that long-awaited final fights like Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha’s battle at the end of Naruto: Shippuden are a major part of what attracts new fans to the artistic medium. However, even though Naruto and Sasuke’s last duel is an iconic piece of anime history, it’s far from the only final battle in anime that deserves recognition.

Fans of the anime who have been waiting patiently for the fifth season may rest easy: the series has already released the teaser and announced a release date. In fact, just after the release of the fourth season's final episode, Bungou Stray Dogs' official Twitter account stated that the fifth season was already in the works.
In addition, it released a promotional teaser for the anime as well as a few key visuals in March to get fans fired up about the fifth season. The announcement came after an excellent season for one of the best anime series that lived up to the high standards set by the show's first three seasons.
That said, fans expect a lot more action from the forthcoming season, and we couldn't be more excited about it.
