Evil Uses Some Reverb
Music is the root of all evil! Just ask Tipper Gore. It can influence people to engage in all manner of nuttiness. I mean if a kid finds a loaded gun in his dad's drawer while listening to Black Sabbath and shoots himself, it's the song's fault, right? Why blame the dad for leaving a loaded gun in the house? That would just be too easy! Music is again to blame for the malevolence haunting the new fright flick Reverb.

The movie tells the tale of a musician named Alex (Leo Gregory) who's in need of a hit album. So what does he do? He locks himself and his band up in the recording studio overnight, of course. While working deep into the late hours of the evening, the group ends up diggin' on an old recording that has a spooky voice hidden within it. Once it's played, a life...

Are you in Britain next week? Check out Eitan Arrusi's Reverb
If you play Metallica backwards can you hear the voice of the devil? Did John Lennon really chant "I buried Paul" on Sgt. Pepper's lonely Hearts Club Band? Rock and Roll is full of legends about voices on recordings and it's these myths that Reverb director Eitan Arrusi used to springboard his new horror film.

A struggling rock musician (Gregory) wants to get his career back on track, so he locks himself and his band in a recording studio overnight to come up with new music. In this process the group ends up sampling an old recording with an ominous voice hidden inside the track. As more frightening events occur, the band try to unravel the truth behind the hidden plea on the record leading to a life or death battle with evil.

Reverb opens in select cinema's in Britain on Friday March 6 so check your local listings if you're in the UK.

Hidden Evil Lurks in Reverb
Ah, the ol' "evil hidden in a record's lyrics" trick. Without it, the meddling kids in The Gate could have avoided demonic trouble and Sammi Curr would never have had any influence over a high school dweeb in Trick or Treat . Writer-director Eitan Arrusi's implementing this theme in Reverb , a new horror film opening in the UK March 6th. Swipe Films is distributing the picture and has established an official site where you'll find stills and a trailer. Reverb centers around a struggling rock musician named Alex (Leo Gregory) who wants to get his career back on track, so he locks himself and his band in a recording studio overnight to come up with new music. Eva Birthistle in A Fond Kiss (2004)
LONDON -- Leo Gregory, Eva Birthistle and Margo Stilley will star in the low-budget Brit horror flick Reverb, the producer said Monday. The movie details the story of a struggling musician who samples an old record in a studio and discovers a voice hidden in the music before a series of horrific events unfolds. Writer-director Eitan Arrusi (Long Time Dead), making his directorial debut, said he is thrilled with the project. "Music plays an important narrative in the film so I am very pleased to be working with the hugely talented music producer Jack Knife Lee, who has written the signature track for the film," Arrusi said. Produced by Frank Mannion of Swipe Films, the film began shooting Monday on location in London. No budget was revealed for the film, which is privately financed by Reverb Prods. and International Film Collective Ltd. Keith Hayley and Robert Bevan are executive producing. Swipe Films also is acting as the worldwide sales agent for the movie and aims to release it into theaters across the U.K. later this year.
