Biography

Sergio Rene Cota Jr. was born & raised in Hollywood, California. Sergio is bilingual in Spanish, and is 1st generation American.

As a kid Sergio was a class clown, troublemaker, Mr. popularity, and the cool guy. Unfortunately, Sergio never knew his purpose in life. Sergio throughout his life has been a gifted talent with amazing energy, a nice smile, cool hair, great personality, and naturally funny. Regardless, of these traits, he was lost with what he wanted to achieve in life.

Sergio's quest for his purpose ended when he attended Pierce Community College in Woodland Hills. Sergio, luckily, first discovered his interest in Film by adding, via lottery, a "History of Motion Pictures; Hollywood" class. Sergio never felt this way about a topic before, so he went with his instinct, and added an acting class instantaneously for the next semester. Sergio went into that acting class 110%, full force, and inspired! Sergio found his passion in life. Sergio continued studying acting, and film electives.

After completing his Associate in Arts (AA) in Theatre Arts + Transfer. Sergio was at a crossroads. Does he continue his education, or focus all his attention on what makes him happy? Sergio made a 360, and never looked back. Sergio, respectfully, placed school on hold to invest in himself, and maximize for lost time to pursue acting professionally.

First, Sergio started by signing up with Central Casting Los Angeles as an extra to learn by experience about working on a professional set. Second, Sergio signed with manager Kimberly Strauss at Next Level Entertainment Global. With their help Sergio was able to obtain across the board representation with MPM Models & Talent Agency on the Westcoast, and with TDH Talent Unlimited on the Eastside.

But Sergio was not satisfied. Due to his high confidence, and competitive edge he believed he was capable of more with his abilities. So he started to research about how to break into the entertainment industry. He read about many strategies, and actors who paved the way before him. Sergio then started on a new journey.

Today, Sergio is a producer of multiple films. Sergio began his recent producer career as an associate, but quickly worked himself up to Executive Producer. His latest project includes a life-changing documentary. Sergio has created a significant following on his social media Instagram page with consistent posts on his story, and page: TheStarActor Lastly, Sergio, and his management team have decided that the best decision for him in order to take his craft to the next level would be to specifically enroll in Scene Study. Currently, Sergio is a student at Berg Studios receiving premium education from instructors, and alumni of Yale School of Drama.

Sergio looks forward to his future, and making an impact in Hollywood history.
