A special screening of ”Kaagaz 2,” a film featuring the late actor Satish Kaushik, was held in Mumbai, attended by his wife Shashi Kaushik and daughter Vanshika. Anupam Kher, one of the film’s stars, shared a video on Twitter encouraging viewers to fight against injustices by putting them on paper.

Two years ago, Satish Kaushik returned to the director’s chair for the social drama ‘Kaagaz’ starring Pankaj Tripathi. As the film clocks two years in Hindi cinema, the actor-filmmaker said he is ready to bring ‘Kaagaz 2’.

Veteran actor-director Satish Kaushik, who recently attended the premiere of his friend Anupam Kher’s new film ‘Uunchai’, has called the latter the new showman of the film industry. Having worked together in successful films including ‘Ram Lakhan’, ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’, ‘Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai’, and ‘Jamai Raja’, their friendship goes back decades.

Choreographer and director Remo D’Souza surprised ‘Dhokha: Round The Corner’ actor Aparshakti Khurana and TV star Jay Bhanushali by offering them the remake of the original track ‘Garmi’ from his film ‘Street Dancer 3D’.

There is much to be said about a hostage thriller that seems to move at a breakneck speed. Dhokha, with a colonized sub-title that says ‘Round D Corner’(the ‘D’ being a wave-out to the young audience) is the kind of recreational afternoon pre-siesta movie where you can’t afford to blink.

Something is happening every minute. Some character or the other is doing a personality volte-face. If you don’t stay alert you may end backing the wrong horse.

After his directorial debut “Rocketry: The Nambi Effect,” which bowed at the Cannes market earlier this year that he also wrote and co-produced, R. Madhavan is back solely as an actor with thriller “Dhokha – Round D Corner,” directed by Kookie Gulati (“The Big Bull”).

After stints in music videos, Khushalii Kumar makes her film debut, playing a woman with a personality disorder who is taken hostage by a terrorist. She is married to Madhavan’s character.

“It’s very tightly knit and any sort of revelation might give you a hint and ruin it for people,” Madhavan told Variety about the plot of the film. “It looks like a pretty straightforward story, but as the film progresses, nobody is actually who they seem.”

Later, taking to Twitter, the chief minister hailed the movie director Vivek Agnihotri and his "efforts to bring to light the plight of Kashmiri Pandits" who were subjected to genocide in the Kashmir valley in the 90s. "Kudos to @vivekagnihotri for #TheKashmirFiles, a blood-curdling, poignant and honest narrative of the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from their home land," he said. "I just finished my shoot and I realised that I have a little surprise. 15 million followers on Instagram. Nothing gets us till here alone. I have to thank you for every single like, comment, and appreciation you sent my way. It really, really helped me, inspired me to do better and I can't thank you enough. I love you all," Samantha said in the video.

Actor Darshan Kumaar is all set to feature in a yet-untitled suspense thriller alongside R Madhavan and Aparshakti Khurana, and he says working on a good script marks a good start for him in the new year.

"The new year has begun on a good note for me, I started shooting for the project today," said Darshan, who has made his mark with his roles in films such as "NH10", "Mary Kom", "Sarbjit" and "Baaghi 2".

Darshan opened up on the veteran Madhavan as well as Aparshakti, who has been making waves lately.
