Amanda Saechao

Hailing from Sacramento, CA from a refugee family of Laos, Hollywood was a pipe dream, so Amanda pursued her second love: politics. She attained a highly coveted position at the California State Legislature working for Assemblymember Fiona Ma, Speaker pro Tempore (current California State Treasurer) and Assemblymember Cheryl Brown for a number of years. During her tenure at the State Assembly, Amanda faced great personal loss, which made her examine her life's purpose and settling for second best was not fulfilling nor satisfying. So, she put aside her political career and aspirations of a law degree and chose to pursue a deep-rooted (secret) first love of a life in the arts.
