Exclusive: Raffi Cavoukian, the famed children’s entertainer and musician, is getting the podcast treatment.

iHeartMedia and parenting site Fatherly have teamed up to produce Finding Raffi.

It marks the second audio series in its Finding strand, following Finding Fred, telling the story of Fred Rogers.

The ten-episode series will explore the legacy and teachings of Cavoukian, the Egypt-born Canadian who is known for kids’ songs such as Baby Beluga and Bananaphone.

Hosted by comedian Chris Garcia, the series will trace his life from aspiring folk singer to international kids’ superstar to outspoken climate activist. Through interviews, music, and storytelling, audiences will learn the complete — and complex — story of Raffi.

Garcia will introduce his daughter to Raffi’s music, and uncovers details about Raffi’s life, his journey to discover his own identity as an immigrant, and his belief that respect for people, planet and culture would yield a better world.

Longtime Canadian children’s entertainer Raffi Cavoukian took to the web to issue his distaste with the name of the band the New Pornographers on Tuesday.

Responding to a tweet about the group, Cavoukian wrote, “strongly object to that name. as bad as ‘food p**n’ etc.”

He further explained his issues with the name in response to another user, writing “not a word to normalize in public conversation. consider youngsters, etc.”

After experiencing a sudden decline in her health, Kavna, a 46-year-old beluga whale residing at Vancouver Aquarium, died on Monday, with a necropsy later showing cancerous lesions. The whale served as the inspiration for the children's song "Baby Beluga," about an imaginary whale that swims wild and free in the ocean. The song was penned by Canadian artist Raffi Cavoukian after he met Kavna in 1979. "She had a profound impact on me," he told Canadian radio station News 1130. "[Kavna] came out of the water and placed a gentle, graceful kiss on my cheek and I couldn't stop talking about it for a couple of weeks!
