Biography

Unknowing fans often use the article "The" in conjunction with the band's name (e.g. "The Scorpions"). Their name is actually just "Scorpions".

"The Zoo" was written about their first trip to New York.

Members have included Klaus Meine, Ralph Rieckermann, S.C. Dacy, Rudolf Schenker, Matthias Jabs, Pawel Maciwoda-Jastrzebski, James Kottak, Francis Buchholz, Herman Rarebell, and Michael Schenker.

Producers throughout the years: Dieter Dierks (1975-1989), Keith Olsen (1990), Bruce Fairbairn (1993) and (2004), Peter Wolf (1999), Christian Kolonovits (2000-2001), Desmond Child (2006-present).

Their biggest hits were produced by Dieter Dierks ("Rock You Like a Hurricane") and Keith Olsen ("Wind of Change"). Their current producer is Desmond Child.
