Truth Quinones "Truth The Barber Artist" was born in New York, Polyclinic Hospital on July 15th, 1975. He began cutting hair at the age of 11 in the year 1987. While living in Bronx NY he evolved into a skilled Barber/Tattoo artist. He dominated art competitions as a teenager in high school. His exceptional artistic talent won him his first freestyle design Barber Battle. Truth attended Oneonta Job corps and was commended for his tireless Artistic effort by receiving the center wide student of the month and dorm student of the month awards for his portrait paintings representing each dorm. Truth was also elected dorm president by his fellow dorm mates in job corps. He won election again for a second term before he completed his educational programs. In 2009 Truth competed in his first IHS (International Hair Show) Barber Battle in which he also placed in the top three. His skills truly flourished when he acquired his first position as a Barber instructor at The American Barber Institute in Ny, Ny. As an instructor at ABI, Truth successfully attempted the amazing feat of cutting two skin fades at the same time ambidextrously. He also became a New York State board examiner in which he conducted the practical exam for the NY State Department of Licensing. He also helped update the New York State practical master barbers exam. In addition to receiving several Barber Battle awards, Truth was presented in 2011 with the honor of being head teacher at the Amercian Barber Institute.
Truth learned to ride motorcycles and also tattooed as a hobby in his spare time under encouragement from his friends who admired his artistic talents. From there Truth gained the nick name "The Barber Artist". He wanted to expand his capabilities and use his art, hair-cutting abilities, and sense of humor to reinvent himself into more of a public figure. He is known as the first Barber Instructor in New York to dedicate his entire social media presence to being a serious sketch comedy personality. He has been featured in comedy skits with popular Instagram sketch comedy sensations such as Joselito The Puppet, Chink Capone, Daniel Jean The Driver and Larry Smoove. Truth has continued to perfectly blend teaching at the Barber School and consistently create funny sketch comedy content. He has appeared on Worldstar Hip Hop five times on separate occasions and his hair designs have been re-posted by the popular Barber Instagram "Barbershopconnect". Truth has given haircuts to celebrities such as Jay Hieron (UFC), Lil' Fame (M.O.P), Crissa Ace (Harlem Globetrotters), Josh Palacios (Toronto Blue Jays).
His relentless desire to perform and entertain his followers has lead to the opportunity of being featured on "It's Queens Magazine" as one of the top 5 Barbers in Queens. Truth's content is also sponsored by the popular booking app "Booksy".
